Sim racers - what are you running?

You might want to try ACC. It's a lot easier to just pick up and drive than iracing in my opinion, especially the GT4 cars.
I want to race with friends, that’s big part of the appeal. I was better and on the pace at Bathurst this week in testing, 2 seconds off fastest in a 488GTE. I have not raced this car before (did the 488 none GTE, horrible) but got into a groove. But then at Oulton I dived into a session and was 3 seconds off the pace in a car I race for real on a track I know well Oulton. :(

My latest additions. HE Handbrake and Frex 6 Speed shifter.

Annoyingly my rig is above my daughters room and there is no sound deadening between floors. The shifting is quite loud!

How are you finding it? How easy is it to get a good driving position? Is it strong, is there any flex etc? I have load cell pedals so I'm wondering how much it might flex

This is my first racing setup so I'm finding it pretty good comparing it to an xbox controller, but built wise it's pretty solid there are holes in the seat bracket so you can have the seat in 3 or 4 different ride heights, there are 2 different size extensions for the base I put the long ones in ( being 5ft 10) but couldn't reach the pedals so went back to the small ones. Then you can move the seat on the rails like an actual car seat so I kept moving it back and the wheel up till it was perfect for me, then I reclined a notch. So it's pretty like driving for real. I'd say its got all adjustments possible to get comfy. I've no flex at all when driving with the G923 and there are plenty of holes on the wheel ledge and for the pedals so there both secured with 6 screw each (included)

Got a good sale on think it was about £50 off plus when you subscribe you get another 5% code.
Took about 1.5hrs to build and about 30 mins mucking around to get a good driving position. I'd go for the rs9 or xl apparently the rs6 is quite a nippy seat

Thanks for that. What seat did you go for?

I put my pre-order in for the CSL DD last week during the first wave. Ordered with the 8nm psu and due for delivery September. I already have the CSW 2.5 but from the reviews this sounded like it should be a decent upgrade. I race on PC and Xbox so lack of PS5 support doesn't worry me. I've got the Formula v2 with Advanced Paddle Module and the V3 Pedals so hopefully should be good.

Yeah I got my pre-order in too.

I ended up having to order the Boost Kit separately as the pages weren't loading properly. I got an email yesterday as they're going to ship that now

I also got the Limited Edition F1 wheel from the week before.

Bring on September

I also ordered a csl dd last Friday, I was sat on my ipad when the email came through on the 4th and immediately went to order, the website was broken for an hour or two, I just kept trying until it eventually let me checkout!.

I’ve already got a csw v2 wheel base so not expecting night and day but it sounds like it should have that bit extra fidelity..

I just checked my emails, my first fanatec wheel was a 911 turbo S in 2010 with club sport pedals, The wheel became faulty after a year, they sent a replacement, then a year or so it went wrong again, so the swapped it for a CSR Forza edition, that went wrong, so they replaced that, until finally I got a good wheel, I was quite happy with their customer service, so in 2015 bought the CSW Wheel base and universal hub (now on an Xbox unvisersal hub), and now fingers crossed a csl dd...

in between I’ve had Thrustmaster wheels alongside but keep going back to fanatec, my original club sport pedals are perfect 11 years on!

Im running a t300 based (used) and csl pedals with LC kit. Having now forntje fanatec pedals and a gt1 evo rig i definately felt like the wheel.needed upgrading. Also im sure my wheel is "half broken" makes lots of noises almost like the motor is on the way out and i dont get much detail at all

As a result i pre ordered the csl dd. Annoyingly i never registered my pedal purchsase (bought through digital motorsports) so missed 1st wave, then missed 2nd as i never got the email. So mine is now due november. I suppose by then there will be plenty of profiles to steal for ACC

What seems to be the sweet spot monitor wise, I want to get rid of my 49" 4k tv and swap it for a monitor mounted to my stand. Just feels to big.
Single monitor, triple screens, ultra wide? 27",32"?
And is there a noticeable difference with higher Hz monitors
