Sim racers - what are you running?

Please don't look at the old carpet

I have the exact same sticks. What mounts did you use to mount it to the profile?
The right stick was the gear shifter mount that came with the GT omega rig, they don't supply it separate.
The left one was from a Track racer flight simulator mount. I used the right angle mount bracket, not the top plate.
Both needed holes drilling, but they both work great.
If you can get the Track racer flight simulator mount that comes with left and right mounts.

Ahh ok cool I wasn't sure if those trak racer flight mounts could work for the Virpil alpha

I did use the supplied top plate from the Track racer flight mounts as the predrilled holes line up with the Virpil base. But they where massive and just looked stupid and made it even more difficult to get in and out the rig

I have the trakracer mounts and a virpil throttle and stick, the throttle looks ok in the big plate, the stick less so but plenty of room around it to put stuff i guess.

I'd find an alternate than ordering anything from TrakRacer, cause the ****s are completely ignoring me now about the missing parts of my order 3 months ago.
The stick mounts and folding desk part where what pushed me to TR from GT Omega, feels like a mistake now.

Good to know they havnt changed a bit! A lesson I sadly had to learn myself a couple years back! If buying anything TrakRacer, always buy from a reseller who has physical stock in warehouse. TR parts are actually pretty good. However, as soon as you have to deal with TR the company itself all bets are off...

Chances are you "should" be fine. As long as you dont need to talk to customer service you shouldnt have any dramas. However, if you have issues with dispatch/delivery/parts missing, all of which are not uncommon sadly. You'd pretty much be better off getting your magic 8 ball out as its more helpful than TR customer service...

Just a word of note, I think they still use NL as there main European/UK distribution hub. Last time I order direct from TR, it was posted through DHL and was **** poor with little communication and I had no idea what was going on with my package, just showing that it was stationary for days at a time, I wasnt supplied a UK side tracking number and the original tracking number didnt work on any of the normal parcel tracking sites, however strangely enough the UK side was done by RM and not DHL. It took over 2 weeks to get it, through multiple delays on the Europe side. I promised myself I would never order direct through TR again, its a shame because the do make good parts. Just hugely let down by sub-standard customer service and buying experience.

Load cell handbrake and Push/Pull shifter finally arrived from SimLabs today after ordering 3 month ago..

Installed on my rig and had a quick drive on WRC. Muscle memory going to require altering, keep reaching over to the gear lever for sequential shifting!

Need to spend some time now organising the cables as I also installed a pair of Dayton Audio BST-1 for the front and rear. Looking a bit messy. Spring clean at the weekend!

A handbrake (Or lack of) is whats holding me back buying the latest WRC title. That SimLab one looks pretty nice. Keep us updated on your thoughts.

let me know if you get yours,
After 10 days wait for a response on their "live" chat there latest BS date is end of January now, they cant be believed and tbh i have no idea what to do.
I'm considering calling the credit card and declaring war by back charging the whole order.

yup i ordered mine end of September with the rest of my rig when they told me it was "in stock".
I've been to china and back in the mean time could have pick it up myself.

I recently purchased some PS5 earbuds to use when racing on the PC. They work a treat with the main benefit being no more sweaty head from the standard headphones. Base isn’t great but competent enough.

Any reason why you went for those rather than anything else from directly by Sony etc?

Plenty of choices for headphones for PC gaming!

I wanted buds (for the aforementioned heat/sweat issue) and using Bluetooth (regardless of how new the Bluetooth is) always has latency issues. These don't have that issue since I don't use the Bluetooth.

I've been running Steelseries Arctis pro wireless for about 3-4 years now but I get very warm when in the sim with them on. The buds don't have that issue.
