Am I the only person who doesn't want this game to be more like SC2000?
You can't have it both ways - either you don't want them to dumb it down in which case you want the game to be more like SC4, or you do want it dumbed down, like SC2000

I hope it includes the videos that the first one had. Absolutely loved them. The fire, police and elec. ones were particulraly funny 
I remember the elec. woman threatening to murder you if you cut funding - 'Wouldn't it be a shame if the mayor got killed/electrocuted with one of his very own power lines'

Of all of the, I always preferred the look of 3000. 4 was ace modded out though.

Nah me too.
Ideally I'd just want Sim city 4 fixed by Maxis, especially the performance issue, you can have an i7+12gb+gtx570 running off an ssd and it barely runs better than a p4,2gb,geforce ti4600 card...
Also a bit more flexibility on the ''grid'' system with roads and transportation expanded like multi level roads or underground roads (yeah possible now with tunnels but made easier and mroe flexibility) and better bridges...
NAM fixed most issues already with the gameplay, only the performance needs an update.
Any Sim city up to and including SC3k is way too simple and not a proper simulation. Especially the Transporttation part is completely rubbish.

You can’t officially mod SimCity 4 to level it has been. Plus it taken years of hard work for the modders to make SimCity 4 what it is now.
At release you get what Maxis made and if Sims 3 anything to go by, it well feel dull and limited compared to it predecessor until a good few expansions are out.
