SimCity V (2013) - screens/artwork and information

simcity4 + NAM I put so much time into that game loved it.

I just hope this game goes more back to the basics, really having to analyse your economy and teh charts etc to figure out whats going on.

I hope they keep the map views with filters for wealth, fire hazards, water etc.

Worst thing they can do imo is expand on that My SIM type integration which for me was a right pain, i just wanna build a great city then sit back and watch it BUUURRRRRRNNNNNN!! :)

Oh God, this! At first I buit some roads and was like ^_^ ,then I tried building stuff and was like T_T

Spend 5 minutes reading this.

I reinstalled SC4 today, played it for 6 hours - gulp. Don't use weaknesspays as it gimps your game later, just read the above and don't get too carried away plonking stuff down and you'll be a millionaire before you have laid your first bus station. Once you reach critical mass in terms of population money will not be a problem. Simples!

Still a great game, cant wait for the next so long as Maxis don't "EA" it...
 
Is the game to be free but to than actually build a city you need to buy DLC to get Schools/Hospitals/Fire Stations etc. If so they can forget it.
 
Good news the latest GDC transcripts says the game engine built to be moddable. Uses the same package format as the existing SimCity 4.

Awww shucks! I just watch that thinking holy shiz the graphics look insane. Just to be greeted by not a representation of actual in game graphics! Meh! Still, should look amazing tho.

lol, they were great, always loved the newspaper headlines and stories, would be a very welcome comeback addition to the game.
