A good bacon sandwich has no equal.

Forgot about the humble bacon sandwich :o

I'm off shortly to do a whole packet of Ayrshire middle in two mini stotties all for myself :D (for those not in the North East, stotties are like large morning rolls or baps or whatever you call them. The mini ones are 5" across and the large ones, about 8" across).

Spag Bol
Macaronni Cheese
Rice n Chicken of any description
Sunday Roast,
Chili
Home Made Soup
Peanut Butter, Marmalade, Cheese on toast.
Tatties n Mince

Baked beans on toast with grated cheese melted on top.

4 minutes max to make, all done with toaster and microwave... minimal prep yand dishes.

Ham, egg and chips.
Mince 'n' tatties.
Bacon buttie.
Fried egg buttie.
Cheese toastie. With black pepper. And maybe a smidgen of Lea & Perrins finest.

Sausage Hotpot/Stew, whatever you want to call it.

Cook Sausages, slice them up.
Empty tin of leek and potato soup (chunky is best) into saucepan and heat through.
Melt 1 veg stock cube in a little water, add to soup.
Add 1 tin of chopped vegetables to soup or cook your own veg if you want.
Add sliced sausages to soup/veg and warm through.

Serve.

Takes litterally minutes and tastes lovely. Good wholesome scoff with just meat and veg!
Well, I think its tasty! :)

being southern born and residing in Newcastle for the last 15 years id have to say the humble stottie is one of my favorite discovery's from the north east, for me you just can not beat a Greggs sottie, so doughy and tasty and perfect for a bacon/fuill english sandwich, really does put plain white bread to shame!

useless info for you now, apparently Stotties are so called because old housewives used to leave them to cool once made and then 'stot' them off of the floor to check they were done.
