Singles had no staying power for me I took it back the same day.

Can't get the Sims2 till later today seeing as its stupid o'clock at the moment and the place I have it reserved will not sell it until 9am.

All I have is an FX51 and 9800 pro 256 but I guess thats enough well I hope it is anyway, Can I ask whats your favourite part of the new one so far?

Hmm think my favourite has got to be the new graphics engine. The detail in it has to be seen to be believed. And the animation is absolutely top notch as well.

Gameplay wise though - would have to be the age cycle. You can go from being a toddler to an old person and then die leaving your children the money to raise their own family and do it all again :)

Hey guys...

I wanbt to get this game for my sister but very much doubt it would run on her system. She has i think:

Athlon 700 mhz
Matrox G400
300 ish megs ram

think that's all that matters, so if i were to upgrade it for her what would be best to upgrade as obviously her being... 13 .. will be on a budget :p

all of it :p.

Got mine in the post this morning and it's great :D

It runs pretty well at 1024x768 with max details (no AA ofc) on my 8500 (64mb :() Things do go slowly when the bus comes along (~10fps), but apart from that everything runs fine during the day.

Shame I have to go into work today :(

PS

If you don't like aging you can turn it off in the console - ctrl+shift+c then type aging -off (or -on) to turn it back on.

ive played it and i reckon its quite good. i actually managed 2 kill some fella after 3 sessions of trying for a baby

What did you make him do??! :D

Got my copy yesterday and very impressed with it - started playing the Dreamer household (Darren the art guy and his son Dirk). I tried to get his son into private school by inviting the headmaster round but his culinary skills amounted to macaroni cheese :D

The only thing that I find odd (yet still made me laugh) is the way NPCs behave when they come into your house - the headmaster sat on the floor playing on the games console, then took his food upstairs and ate it by himself.

The real blow came when he said he didn't think it was a ood idea to have a family like thi associated with a private school and left :D

Next time, I'll make sure the guy isn't in his pyjamas and that the dustbin outfront hasn't spilled out on to the pavement causing a roach infestation :D

*waits for prices to drop*

i really dont see the facination with this game at all, its simply am,azing how much money they have got from it tho, with countless expansions for the first one, and no doubt for this one in due time.

i played the first one, but after a day..i simply got bored.

if you liked the first one mind, from most accounts the 2nd will be just as enjoyable.

..enjoy :)

i dont think the experience will justify the price atm, while the first was a fresh experience.....the second is the formula altered.....

No matter how much I try (as there is nothing on my hdd at the moment to play) I can't get excited about this game, it just makes me think back to how much I grew to hate the first one after twenty minutes or so.
Going to work, paying visits to the toilet and cooking your dinner every day isn't a hell of a lot of fun in reality so replicating these fun activities in a computer game never really grabbed me :) .
