Singapore Grand Prix 2010, Marina Bay Street Circuit - Race 15/19

Indeed the guy is reckless...i just hope that Hammy can pull it back and put Webber back in his place...id hate to see Webber win the F1 championship...hell id rather Alonso win it:eek:

Yep preference now is.

Button - as lewis is obviously going to have many many titles and first British back to back for decades.
Lewis
Alonso
Webber

As I said RBR do not deserve either championship. It should have been wrapped up and secured by now. Far to many mistakes an they would be miles of the leader if it wasn't for such a huge speed advantage.

Any excuse Bernie can get to get rid of Silverstone...

Please?

Although, Brazil, Monza, Germany will be looked at carefully. Monza will be given a free pass due to it being in Italy though.

Silverstone is probably one of the safest ones for a change they only signed the 17 year deal this year!

Not sure which tracks would be for the chop at the mo, Spa is never that far away from the chop though so wouldn't surprise me if that fell off the calendar sadly...

I think Silverstone is safe now after the last deal.

Going on this season so far, if I had to drop a race, it would be Valencia. It's a boring venue and there are always more people on the beach than in the grandstands. It's sort of a street race, but it doesn't have the excitement and originality of Monaco, or the spectacle of Singapore. The racing there is never much good.

Most importantly, it's the European Grand Prix, which has taken place there a few times now and Spain already has one Grand Prix. One of them has to go, but I'd prefer to keep Catalyuna.

This was the only good thing about this year's Valencia Race:

As Eddie said (am I really agreeing with him), it's a great bargaining tool for Bernie to force tracks to update infrastructure, pits and the like.

didn't they just sign 10 year contract.

Since when has that mattered with Bernie? There will be get out clauses for him to use. If he can't use them he'll stick Silverstone at the worst possible time for it, and them complain for the next ten years.

I still agree with him though.

Probably looking at alternating Spa with another track (Hungary/Turkey) and losing either Barcelona or Valencia.

Australia may be going as the loss it makes is getting larger and larger.

For me, the only tracks that deserve preservation on the calendar are Spa, Suzuka and Monza - all other could be lost without too much argument from me (but in some cases - lots of applause and cheering)

I don't think that's going to happen though.
I think he was always critical of Silverstone for it's facilities and this time the deal has allowed them to get the investment they need to improve.

Did you go to Silverstone this year? The construction of the new Paddock is well underway and we already had the first redesign of the track itself for the better.

I don't think he ever truly wanted to get rid of Silverstone, as much of a dinosaur that he is. It always has the biggest turn out of fans, not to mentions its home to a lot of the teams and the roots of the sport are very British.

His threat to drop it and take it elsewhere worked, but it also worked out for Silverstone too in the end.

Yep that's my opinion. He wanted to force a massive update. Not get rid of a British GP. now the deal is done and finances secured. I imagine it to be a much happier relationship.

I don't really think so. Lewis did everything within reason at the time to ensure a smooth pass. He has the racing line, he has the track position, 9 times out of ten that is enough.

That sort of move should end up with a broken right front suspension arm, as we saw with Lewis at Monza. And with Lewis at Monza, I certainly didn't try to justify the move, it was stupid. That exact same thing could have happened to Mark, but he has cashed all of his luck into this one moment to pull out a remarkable feat of annoyance.

Let's face it, Webber's performance concerning vehicles in front of him isn't the best and twice it's been Lewis that has fallen foul of a misjudgement. Webber got it wrong, and it turned out completely right, but one of these days he isn't going to be so lucky.
Ok so lets get it right, Webbers's performance isn't the best with other car around.

Let's see what you said a fortnight ago at Monza...

Disappointingly unlucky for Hamilton, but he was being aggressive as usual and when you put your wheels there against the King Tigerrari then you lose a front wheel.

So, Webber is a **** driver near cars, and Lewis is aggressive as usual.

No bias there ehh??

The chances of me going to Silverstone for F1 again are roughly the same as me becoming a fan of Schumacher, which incidentally the same as the square root of -1... ;)

I'd rather have seen the redesign go towards the older circuit than keep the micky mouse bits and add another one.

Silverstone has been dropped on more than one occasion iirc and also it had the British Grand Prix awarded to another circuit - although given the numpty in charge it was never going to happen there. I'd have been perfectly happy with it going elsewhere in the world instead.

Eddie offering to dress Lee McKenzie properly? :D So, a french maids outfit then?
