Singapore Grand Prix 2012, Marina Bay - Race 14/20

I absolutely love Singapore. There are a few tracks in F1 that really don't provide great racing (I still think that decent racing is possible in Singapore) and in that event you need to put on a great show and look fantastic. Singapore does just that!

Hoping to get to the 2013 race, assuming they put it on the calendar. I can't see that they'd not renew - it is pretty much the new Monaco in terms of being a sponsors' event.

Jesus christ people, all I was suggesting was with 6 races left it would suck if someone ran into a near 70 point lead. It doesn't matter that it is Alonso only that I hope the last few races are competitive races not someone winning ending up with a 76 point lead with 3 races to go, which is far more probably if Alonso did particularly well today compared to the 3 close behind him. If it was Hamilton with a 37 point lead I wouldn't want the title decided with 3 races to go either.

As for not thinking Lewis can do it on the track, I think Alonso and Hamilton can do it on the track given a very competitive car, while some on here like to pretend that whoever had the best car in the last race somehow means they've had the best car all year, I don't.

Alonso has been great this year, as has Hamilton. It was Hamilton's team and not Hamilton himself that has cost him a huge number of points when the car was really capable and in the races the car hasn't been capable of doing well neither driver has done particularly well.

Ferrari have been pretty much the top or second top car every weekend so far, Mclaren/Red Bull tend to be 1st or 3rd fastest(with the odd 4th or 5th fastest thrown in, much more so lately).

I'd like to see Hamilton or Alonso win the title, I just want to see them win it in the final race, or at least very close to the end of the season.

It's partially because anything below winning is seen as pointless, and its partly because the racing has so often been very boring this year that taking out the title fight would just be another boring factor to the racing. Okay, the last few races have been a bit better overtaking wise but largely because of dodgy qualifying from faster teams or other things, still not particularly good races in terms the leader being out on his own start to finish.

LOL :o

Saying this year the races have been boring is really the most worrying thing you have posted. If you need some numbers to keep you interested then you are probably watching the wrong sport.

God the BBC commentators can't stop themselves talking over team radios........

To be fair, the only indication that a team radio is coming is the on screen prompt, and they have at least 5 monitors with more than 5 feeds going on, so its entirely acceptable that they miss it.

Its not like they could have a light or something, because its not on its own feed. It comes down the FOM feed alone, so its like the main TV picture and sound, they have no control over it.
