So that is how RBR are getting Ferrari engines, hold up the Mercs get some new engines :p

Seriously though, over 3 seconds in a lap is insane frankly. Some rumours that Ferrari are massively overheating their tires which would help on qualifying and first laps of the race... no idea if true but this pace is ridiculous. He could be on a three stop compared to a 2 stop for Ricciardo but even so that is still a big time difference.
 
Rosberg 6 seconds behind Hamilton, Rosberg has been so poor on race pace compared to Hamilton for a bunch of races now, half a second down in qualifying and frankly race pace for 3 or 4 races?

Hard one to call, I'm not at all a fan of his but he was really alongside Hulk and Hulk cut him off.

FI should have been warning him on the radio, Hulk should have given more room but I do think Massa should have realised how difficult it would be to see him and he could easily have backed off.

Massa had more chance to avoid it because he could see Hulk for sure and Hulk may not have been able to see Massa. Stupid place for a pit exit, they should cut across and bring them out on that next straight.

Jesus, pathetic frankly, lap after lap before putting the full safety car out anyway, utterly stupid.
 
Hulkenberg on racing line imo. He shouldn't have to yield to someone coming out of the pits. He was a good half car length ahead as well.

Hulk wouldn't have seen him and an experienced driver like massa should know this.

Hamilton seems to have gained from this slightly.

Boring race so far, but I don't mind watching that merc GT going round and round. Stunning car.
 
Don't think Hulk could see Massa at all.

Glad to see the safety car out though, closing up those gaps.

McLaren had a tough pit with Button which seems to be a run of bad luck for him, which is unfortunate.

Interesting to see Mercedes going to the softs whilst the rest of the top 6 are on Supers!
Race on from the restart of the safety car!

I've excluded Verstappen. There were probably other overtakes in Lap 1. Didn't Hulkenberg gain a few places? I'd exclude Lap 1 as well tbh.

Yup, this is why I can't stand him, funnily enough what Hulk 'did' to him is precisely what Massa does to people intentionally for the past decade and it's never been his fault.

This will be funny, Hulk just chopped off someone on the inside and Massa is going to blame him.... but he claims when he does it, the guy on the inside is at fault. :p

Any other corner Hulk would be at fault, that one is complicated because of the pitlane exit Hulk could easily have been unaware he was there. He of course may have seen him and assumed Massa would back off, I suspect that isn't the case but is possible.


Verstappen with what 17 overtakes to unlap himself, and people say you can't overtake here :p

Yep. Always hated Massa and just can't warm to him at all. He's such an arrogant little **** who is literally never ever wrong.

Also with currently Rosberg having awful pace recently and worse starts. I think even if Merc get back to being noticeably faster particularly in qualifying. Vettel in 3rd off the grid to Merc's poor starts as in recent races Rosberg could be 3rd into the first corner quite a few times. If that happens then 2nd is definitely on for Vettel.
