sorry, I don't remember pit strategies from every race
 
Merc have lost people recently to Mclaren and Ferrari, does anyone know who? Their strategies seem to be getting worse later.

Despite seeing braking issues on Friday they didn't switch to a different compound of brake pads and they are coasting to keep the temps in control which is killing their race.

Likewise the softs... jesus, even if they go longer, Kimi will now pit earlier than Hamilton but will be on fresh faster rubber and will undercut Hamilton most likely. You go long in the final stint if you have to. Softs was a mental call this early because at a track you can't over take at track position matters. At say Canada you can go long in the middle and have the fastest tire at the end and overtake someone who you lost track position to. At a non overtaking track where track position is key, your strategy has to be about track position first and having track position going into the final stint. That means fastest tire possible until final stop where if you want to go longer you can put on a harder tire and maybe miss a pitstop. But here/Monaco, that has to be the last stint, not the 2nd stint. If Ricciardo gets close enough and pits first he might well undercut Rosberg as well.
 
Why has Nicola pitted to change from softs so soon, after ~18 laps?

Edit: And Lewis comes in the next lap? Surely those softs have more life!
 
Not a great race for Mercedes really, even with Rosberg leading.

Then again, it is Singapore. So it's not normally a good race to watch anyway.
