Monaco is a far far closer track in most corners. This has longer straights but due to the types of corners, type of track and entries into the corners at the end they aren't good for overtaking. Monaco takes a hell of a lot more skill than here. There are far more run offs, far wider track. Monaco is at least watching people on the very limit of the track trying to stay on it. This track is as boring in terms of tactics/overtaking, but no where near that skill level.

Monaco is a much better race to watch for driver skill and seeing them on the limit.

Haven't bothered watching this but sounds like I've basically missed a near-miss with a Marshall and that's about it?
 
Might well be but there is a good number of laps to go and clearly a 2-3 second per lap difference between new/old tires.

Really Merc should have figured that Hamilton pitting might make Ricciardo pit, they should have pushed for 2 laps and if Ricci pits he'd have the gap to pit himself. If Ricci didn't pit, Rosberg wouldn't have to. But they should have seen Hamilton pitting could cause Ricciardo to and do a couple faster laps to cover off whatever happened. It's like they had no concept that one decision could cause a change for Rosberg. They missed their window for pitting now. If he'd pushed for 1-2 seconds faster for 2 laps, he'd have been so comfortable to pit. Instead they only had him push after Ricciardo pitted and it didn't give him enough time to push and make the gap.
