Anyone noticed how Nickg has stopped mentioning Berbatov, so is he suddenly alright now?
I made my point you called me childish
.
The problem is the standard. If you consider Carrick a flop (who has helped us win several titles and a champions league) then the likes of Nasri, Walcott, Arshavin, Diaby, Denilson, Song, Eduardo, Silvestre, Fabianski are all flops, and that's just the ones recently, not even going back to the likes of Jeffers
Not technically out and out criticism, but it is quite funny.Berbatov is never going to do it up front on his OWN. its not how he plays.
how can you argue with that nonsense? personally i dont see Nasri, Arshavin, Eduardo flops. and Diaby, ye sif he cost what carrick did then he'd be a glop. Silvestre no idea what happened there - they must have run out of time and money but he wasnt 9 million or whatever smalling was - was he now?
LoL
I've asked you before and would appreciate a reply this time, how old are you Nick?
When Fergie took over he had an ageing squad that was full of drunks, no youth team, no millions to spend. He built a team good enough to win the league and I think up until that point the most we had paid for a player was 3.4 million for Roy Keane.
So do please expand on your point of this great youth team and the millions he had because he sure didn't have them for the first 4-5 years.
im 28. how old are you? from your childish antics im guessing its about half of that?
you made a point to be childish, because someone (with good reason i might add) called you childish.
i see...you've. err... not quite got me there:/
and as for why i stopped posting in the other thread, the logic failbomb:

Careful G|mp, he might send you anonymous email abuse! I don't want you to get hurt.
Roy Keane, I hope thats a joke.
We also go through a baron patch every season, stop being so fickle and jumping down fergies neck.
Do tell me, what was childish about that post?
As for the quote, that wasn't even me

oh no it wasnt that that was a childish post. its your other posts i read the football news thread and its just u spamming one liners inecessently! theres a banter thread for that kind of gibberish! but it makes me think, oh jesus this guy has either way too much time or is about 10 in the head?
oh i know and i never said it was:/? you are so quick to go on the defensive. i dont really care if its you or not im addressing ill just pick up the points as i go.
I knew you'd get your knickers a twist. Hows about:oh dear, and he scored the hat trick as a lone striker now did he? or does what i said still ring true? ah yes he was up front with rooney. i mean, its like you are going out of your way to try and make my opinion seem so polarised, but honestly im a man of my word and i stick to what i said there.
It goes something like this - General thread --> Nickg posts ---> counter argument from whoever --> Nick disappears
I knew you'd get your knickers a twist. Hows about:
So if Chamakh only got say 6 goals this season....would he not be a flop because he was a free transfer?
lol i post something about football, you make inane comment. i decide i cba because you have either not answered the point or have gone at a complete tangent. kind of like this one? i hope you understand.
i am all for people having their own opinions. i have mine, you have yours. good luck with that. it doesnt mean that because yours is different to mine that it is correct, or better. but then neither of us would have formed an opinion that we personally believed would be false, because that would be maddness, wouldnt it?
i think the difference is that in every one of my posts i am commenting on football. in many of yours, you are just posting some kind of speil that does not relate directly to football. that is why i prefer to waste my time elsewhere. i reckon i could have more meaningful banter with a brick wall than yourself.
I think you will find people agree with me on most points (even Arsenal fans agree with me) the MU fans certainly do, when have you ever had a discussion on here where people agree with you?
LoL

Oh for the love of god. I love how you missed out my comment about your lack of a sense of humour. Just take my original post as cheeky throwaway fluff, forget I dared to suggest your Infallible Wisdom Of All Things Man Utd was in any way questionable.hows that then? you show me in which games hes played up front on his own this season and how many goals he scored whilst doing so? we can judge by previous seasons surely your not fickle enough to overlook 2 seasons for the sake of a few matches now are you?
I'll have to go back and check, but I'm pretty sure he scored his goals when the box was fairly packed with players, didn't he? As in, the midfield had had time to get up and support him. Thus rendering whether he was up front by himself or with another kind of redundant, surely?having rooney there means that there is another man to mark, its pretty obvious really. berbatov isnt the fastest if you have one man on him and one off him defending against him, he's going to struggle.
I like him

Sir Alex Ferguson is almost unquestionably one of the greatest managers that Manchester United have ever had or let's put it another way if he's only managed what he has by luck then I'm sure 99% of football fans would be happy if their manager was as lucky. He's obviously made mistakes, some major and some minor, his dealings with players, staff, owners and the press have sometimes left a significant amount wanting but this isn't about whether he's a nice person who loves kittens and helps old ladies across the road - as a manager he's one of the greats.
