Sir Patrick vs Cordon

Just saw the full clip in youtube.

Sir Patrick shouldn't have brought it up on stage tbh, it was an error in judgement although he had every right to imo.

Sir Patrick is a fantastic actor who's worked his arse off for his profession, so naturally he will have respect for everything it involves including award ceremonies. Corden is just a fat slob that isn't funny, and will be forgotten in due time as a z list comedian (who isn't funny).

Corden can dish it out but can't take it.

I'm glad somebody has mentioned it as to me Corden looked instantly ready for a fight & like a school kid arguing over sweets where as Patrick maintained his standing.

I thought Patrick starting all that was un needed in the first place, Cordon was being defensive, there was no need to get personal about his belly and such on stage.

I never liked Gavin and Stacey, didn't like Corden in that (the sketch show Horne and Corden was also terrible!), and I was disappointed with Rob Brydon in that, I thought some of his other work was much better.

Anyhoo, I think a lot of people have somewhat sided with Stewart out of respect more than anything, although it's not 100% relevant in all situations, you can't ignore it. Corden was being fairly blase about insulting one of the country's finest actors, which is what I think a lot of people didn't like about this. Though those who are saying they both came off badly are right too, as I said, Stewart should never have sunk to that level but was probably irritated enough for that lapse in judgement. He came out looking really bad as he stumbled over some terrible comebacks by trying to play the same game that Corden is an expert at. I do still think Corden was well above his station in behaving like an arse, just because some people like his antics doesn't mean he can behave like a fool anywhere, learn some respect and grow up a little. I feel like his 15 minutes is almost up.

So you think it's quite acceptable to stand behind a fella & pull stupid faces whilst Awards are being given out ?

+ 1 here.

Do you honestly think a Gent of his standing would comment if there was nothing happening ?

You'll notice that Patrick doesn't even know what the audience is laughing at.

You'll also notice that the video posted there is not the full thing, and Corden is clearly annoyed by his previous remarks. Editing - a useful thing to prove a point...

Corden is a bell end of the finest calibre and shouldn't have been on the same stage as Stewart.

However, entering into an "exchange" on stage with a "comedian", is asking for trouble.

Hopefully Corden will disappear into the cosmos, however, he's probably got his own gravitational pull, so I doubt it.

I'm a fan of Gavin and Stacey, but James Cordon isn't a good comic in turns of stand up comedy, but I think he's a great comedy actor.

He co-wrote Gavin and Stacey which won a Bafta for the audience award, voted for by the public, and also a Bafta for best comedy performance as Smithy, not bad for a "talentless ****"

I don't like Corden or Star Trek.

Think Patrick Stewart was in the wrong but Corden's response was poor also. Embarrassing all round.
