"FINAL CHANCE TO PREORDER" lol as if thats going to sway my decision

Last week the BBC announced that they would be launching a trial HD channel, BBC HD, including coverage of the World Cup and Wimbledon 2006. Customers with a Sky HD box will be able to watch BBC HD as a non-subscription channel.

Thank you for your interest in Sky HD.

:D

Mines for the 23rd of May, after instalation you have 30 days where you can cancel, what you think are the chances of a reduction in subscription sky will offer you?

you never know,lol.

just had the call 24th May thought it was a bit much them wanting the £299 now but hey I paid up regardless.
We could all be getting robbed it could be anyone ringing us up and asking for our credit card details.

Got a May 23rd installation date.

The girl who rang me from Sky told me that they'd been massively oversubscribed (they'd underestimated how popular it would be). They had 23,000 people register for it.

She'd been ringing people refunding their £30 but telling them that they wouldn't be able to get in the first round of HD installs.

Glad I ordered mine on day 1 of the offer!

Well she was talking tripe ;)

I got mine ordered already like you from day 1. But, I was able to go online and easily able to get a HD box and install date of may 22nd just this morning.

not sure £5 interest is worth worrying about when you are spending £299 and £10 per month on top of subscription...

Installation booked for 22nd May

Couple of questions...

does anyone know if the SkyHD box uses HDMI or component?

also, do I actually own my current Sky+ box that the new HD box will be replacing? Obviouslly I've got ebay in mind, but when I used to have ntl 'all equipment remained property of NTL'
