*** Sky Q Thread ***

I think your Sky subscription is controlled by your viewing card so it should move to a new satellite connection without trouble. However I think there was some discussion about Sky limiting use at different addresses.
Have you asked on the Sky user forum?
Andi.

Had to re-pair my remote after the update. Was convinced the batteries had died as the low-battery warning has been showing for a few days now, but tried a re-pair and it worked.

Just received an email confirming I've got voice-control and it's working great. Easily recognises my broad Northern Irish accent my better than Siri, Cortana etc.

Also since My Sky is the default after hitting the home button, the tv guide is now only one click up.

But speaking 'TV Guide' into the remote doesn't work. Navigation commands aren't supported by voice recognition.

You can only get UHD on the 2TB and the content is increasing all the time. F1 in UHD all season, nearly all the PL, more films and to series too. IMO everyone should go for the 2TB regardless. No one ever has too much free hard drive space.

How much is the Full package for UHD and when you say nearly all the PL is UHD is that just for sky or the majority on BT i can't see it been cheap and do you have to have the HD package to get UHD

In case anyone wants it, you can get voice search on the mini and 1TB box as well, as long as you have a Q Touch remote.

Does anyone know when the update enabling this is coming to the majority of users?

Also,

Does anyone know if it's possible to have two different Sky Q's and mini boxes on one internet connection? (a mate has asked - who shares a internet connection and I have no idea!)

Rolling out 100,000 users at a time as far as I am aware.

Never tried that, don't think it should be an issue as the mesh is per unit of Q and mini.

I just switched on my Sky Q after having it for nearly 2 months. And I get "This screen does not support HDCP. Try reconnecting your HDMI cable, or use a different screen". Literally i was watching with EXACTLY the same setup yesterday. I tried reconnecting HDMI, turned off TV/SKy Q. Nothing.

My TV is LG OLED B6

Anyone please?

Had that also, switching off my tv fixed it, with box still on. Also my SkyQ 2Tb box packed in completely and suddenly without warning. Nothing would get it working again, engineer came and fitted a brand new one next day but lost all my recordings sadly, was not happy only 11months old.

Sky Q has really started to **** me off recently. Nothing has changed in my network yet I get the same issue pretty much every day;

1. Switch the Mini on in the evening
2. Works for a minute or so, then you get the 'connectivity issue' screen
3. Check setup and it says no network connection, connection to Q box is a tick
4. Reset the network connection, reconnect using WPS
5. Works fine until the next night

Rinse and repeat per day.
