Slacker DHL Delivery

DHL man was here earlier with my order. I got all excited!

Or so I thought. He's delivered box 4 of 5 total. "where's the rest?" I enquire. "no idea mate" was the answer. What was in box 4 of 5? Bloody heatsink. Great.

:( I just wanted to fiddle with my new bits. :(

This is the trouble with most couriers, in outlying regions (like where I live and probably where you live) they outsource to 3rd rate delivery companies in that area.

Or their usual van was in for repair/service. Used to be friendly with the Courier at my last job and he would turn up in an unmarked van every so often.

Well, the contractor here for Citylink is ace - our last delivery looked like it wasn't coming as no courier had turned up by 6, 8p.m. knock on the door "sorry, the van conked out so I had to go home and get the car to finish my deliveries".

We wrote to CityLink praising his dedication and when having a package delivered the next time he thanked me as his boss had paid him double for that entire shift.

I had a similar thing happen to me. He knocked on the door, and I quickly went to the door from my room (which is like 5sec walk away), and he was already walking away :-/ Wasn't expecting that from DHL!

Bah, doesn't look like I'm getting the rest of my delivery today after all. They don't seem to want to bother ringing me back either, just wanted to know "today or tomorrow".

DHL are rubbish, BRING BACK CITYLINK! :D

Had a DHL delivery a couple of weeks ago that when I checked the tracking info said I had signed for it. I'm still waiting for the parcel, and it appears DHL have "lost" it :(

Drivers generally will be the last people to know if they have a shortload.

All couriers sub-contract, it's normal.

You need to take this up with the retailer.

Bit of a pain in the arse when I've only got the damn heat sink though. :p It'd be all right if I got the case and motherboard or something, could at least make a start on screwing it together, bloody thing needs to be up and running for 9am Wednesday morning. :(

I did - two weeks ago :P. They're just waiting for confirmation that it's "lost" to send my package out again.

Not as bad as DHL Cinema Services though. It all went down hill as soon as DHL axed their dedicated cinema delivery teams :( - they'd regularly deliver 35mm film prints and then take them away again the same day (before we'd had a chance to move them!). Or the most amusing one was having a film addressed for Aberwrystwith end up in York.

i miss city link!!!!! could they not at least give us the option between the 2????
i have not yet brought anything from oc since the switch (only because theres nothing i want yet) :p
but when/if i buy something i would have to make sure im in the house that day because the nearest depo is based in birmingham (long way for me), the city link one is a 50 minute bus ride but at least its only 1 bus and its quicker to get to then DHL

Haven't read the thread but that looks like the Home Delivery Networks. Yee-Har, bunch of cowboys.

Delivery arrived, unfortunately boxing damaged, and a couple of bits missing. One of the packets of ram was flapping open hanging out of the box.

Do I take it up with OcUK or DHL?

You need to take it up with OcUK - your contract is with them and not DHL :)
