Sleeping Dogs performance

I did if you look on page 7 or 8. By some of the loose definitions of OK frame rates going on in this thread then a single overclocked 680 can just about handle Extreme AA as well... just.

Use the beta's. Will check for you in a bit.

VRAM usage was around 1000-1100 so not an issue in this game.

Updated run with Hi-Res Textures:

Not bad Rusty, could use some improvement though.

I agree with you though, i wouldn't class your experience as smooth for two reasons, your average is well below 50 and your minimum is below 30.

However your SLI results look decent. :)

I wouldn't class yours or mine as smooth!

Do you just use a single 1080p screen? Isn't 680 SLI slightly overkill?

Depends which way you look at it.....i like my 1080 res @ 120hz usually high average fps as a result, which means smooth game play in most games.

I don't run extreme AA in this game as it seems to be the only thing that makes the gpu fans go above 50%ish.

Is it any good? i'm looking for something new, i'm sick of BF3 with the Hacking and bad net code.

Sleeping Dogs? Yeah, it's a good game, but a completely different kettle of fish to BF3.

Honestly don't understand the hacker mentality. What's the point in getting all those kills when none of them are down to your own skill?
I'm crap at BF3, but I just accept it and try to improve :D

It was a good game, but getting shot through walls, or someone whipping out your entire squad with a 5 round burst facing the wrong way while in mid flight from jumping...... it takes the fun out of the game so completely.

Skill and speed increasingly has no meaning in that game, skill vs Hack, Hack wins every time. your just there as cannon fodder for them.

I used to play it a lot, and enjoy it. in the last 3 months i have spend 15 hours total on it.

Suffice to say, i'm not buying BF4

@ LtMatt, it was funny regardless, i didn't card what exactly you meant by it, i just went along with it.
