Ok the green sign in the middle of both shots (red writing in them?) I see aliasing on the bottom edge on High setting but it isnt so bad on Extreme setting.

I suppose those shots are not such a good comparison but i only took those as i thought they would be exactly the same to compare but obviously now after running the bench a few times it isnt a bench that has the same content every time u run it. Must be smoothness of edges which is better on Extreme setting.

I'm sure im seeing better colour depth on Extreme too but its hard to tell :)

Edit.. Pics were taken from the bench run using Afterburner's screen capture.

Edit 2.. The sign that says 'Big Horse Shoes' on it.. look at the stains at the top of it.. more detailed on Extreme. Please dont make me pick out more differences :p

Wheres wally? :D

I can see the difference, edges are more defined, slightly more detail and the lighting has more depth.

Screen caps are compressed, so what benefits you see in-game are diluted in the screen cap, but i can see it's there.
 
Remember these are stills and spot the difference is easier like this - in game can you tell the difference? Yes, I can but not to the tune of less than half performance and heat. High is fine for me :)

Yep i play on just High now.. i have central heating to keep me warm :p

True about BF3 aswell although i do see the difference and will play with 4xMSAA tho i'll usually leave it at 2x. But full settings if making a video!

Oh btw something i noticed with Sleeping Dogs when recording with Fraps.
I usually record all my game footage onto a Raid0 setup which consists of 2 Samsung F3 1TB's which gives me up to 285/275 read & write speeds which is all good until i met Sleeping Dogs. When recording i get random stutter and freeze ups so i tested putting the footage on my other Samsung 830 and.. no stutter.

So is the game just too intensive? My CPU isnt maxing and i use HT and even clocked at 4.6GHz i get this stutter. I think its gotta be the HDD's.. raid or not. I cant work it out :confused:

OH.. This may be just on Extreme settings.. will have to test it again :)

Btw keep me talking cuz im only 25 posts away from free delivery :D lolz

It make you jump through hops to enlarge the picture, yet even then it's only half size.

and once you close the window your greeted by an unwelcome gambling window bloody pop-up.

Anyway, i can see jaggies with no or less AA.
 
I cant look at Imageshack.. its full of popup crap these days with the odd LiveJasmin in yer face too :) And half screen for me aswell.

Imgur is so much better ;)
 
Wrong! Close though. :)

You got MSAA 2x and FXAA muddled with MSAA 4x I think.... will need to double check when I get in as I'm not at my PC at the mo.

Note how good FXAA masks the difference between 2x and 4x.

My pictures are rubbish I know as I was only checking out of interest.
 
2# looks brighter than the other 3, that's why i said FXAA on, i recognize that washed out dull colour without it. (or that's what i thought)

i also run FXAA :)

I have an annoying bug at the moment where by i cannot buy food from vendors on the street. As soon as i go up to them the icon to buy from them disappears.

Anyone experienced that or found a work around?

I had this same problem on the ps3 version. There was nothing i could do bar go away and try them later. You can make this happen by being violent or running up to them with your gun out. Most of the time they would reset and serve you but sometimes no amount of time was enough.

Can't say that happened to me, finished the game last week without an issue the whole way through! If only Rockstar, EA and Ubisoft could create something as good we'd all be a lot better off.
 
I got the game yesterday with my 7850 and it doesn't even get past the loading screen. Apparently I'm not the only one according to some forums I read.

It just freezes up on the loading screen, although I can still move the mouse.

Anyone else have the same problem?
