Smartwatch Thread (news/apps/updates)

ooooh.... that looks just like my thing! (Hovering over the buy button at the moment.)

Any downsides to it?

**EDIT** John Lewis doesn't say this is the 2, but it is, right?

Yes that's the 2...looks like it, can tell by the thinner casing around the face.

Only things to concern yourself with really is the usual, older Snapdragon but I've found it fine to be honest. Battery lasts a day easily but it will be an every night charge.

That's the only downsides I can think of personally, everything else is great and nice to have Google Pay on something which isn't ridiculously bulky.

It says it's the 2 in the description.

The SKAGEN Falster 2 smartwatch boasts a range of exciting updates, including GPS, rapid charging and heart-rate monitoring. It is outfitted with three pushers, which provide additional customisable functionality. Furthermore, the watch is one of the only smartwatches on the market with a sleek magnetic steel-mesh strap, which allows for easy fastening and a secure fit. It's powered with Google OS and is compatible with iPhone® and Android™ phones.

Not a fan of it myself...

I managed to get a Fossil Q gen 4 from amazon a few days ago for £181, it's a very nice looking watch and so far I'm impressed

Nice one...I had looked at it but seemed a little too big for my wrist.

My Faster 2 has been the nice compromise albeit more expensive, great deal you've got though :D

You have to give credit to Amazon. I bought the TWP before Xmas and just sent it back now saying I don't like how bulky it is. Granted, I've not yet got my refund (less postage, which is more than fair) but I handed it over this morning, I'll probably get an email this evening confirming the refund.

Had my first two days at work with the Skagen over the weekend, love it. Even though the stock band is very tight on my wrist, it's actually very comfortable, perhaps as it's so light. Battery seems okay for a day, but it will need charging overnight I would guess, as opposed to others that would generally last two days if I needed.

Nice to hear you're getting on well with it Andy :)

I've got a day and half max out of it...I charge each night and really finding that no big deal as I just sit it on the charger next to my bed. You're right about the weight of it as well, it's very very light, they done a great job packing NFC into such a small frame compared to the alternatives.

Has anyone got the 42mm Galaxy?

It's so much nicer than the 46, that it looks like a watch I could wear properly. But how is the battery life? It's why I'm more keen on the 46mm, but it's just a tad too smart watchy.

Have you sen them in real life?...the 46mm has turned out to be a lot more light and wearable than I thought it would be.

Yeah I went to have a look today.

The 46mm is lighter and more wearable than I thought. But the 42mm is, IMO, nice and extremely wearable. But again, the battery life is what gets me. It'll be used for running so I want something I can acctually use and not watch charge.

Can someone recommend me an all singing and dancing smart watch, it's to use with a Galaxy Note 9, it just saves me reading through the whole thread.

I like the look of the Samsung Galaxy Watch, the style is what i'm after but from reading some of the reviews it seems to be lacking in apps, is that correct ? I'm open to suggestions, i'm into the modern look, not something that looks old fashioned if you get me Thanks
