Whilst no report has denied that, the thing that people miss is that there is a big difference between a 2-3 year old processor and a 2-3 old architecture. The moto 360 uses the latter. So the power profile for it will be somewhere between the chip from the moto droid and a modern processor.
Regardless, the pre-update battery would have suited my uses fine, so the update should be welcome if its true.
 
Well the rumored release is tomorrow...a little disconcerting that its not even available for proper pre-order anywhere though. Makes me think it may not actually be "early" this month.
 
Well between 00:02 and now, the Amazon page changed from pre-order to 'buying options'. So either they had very limited stock and some wally purchased and relisted at a premium, or the release is today, but nowhere has stock.
 
People have been picking up stock from O2. I went in and pre-ordered one in Beeston, Nottingham today. If you want a silver though it looks like your looking at 27th of October.
It's not listed on John Lewis' site.
 
I just want a black one.
Problem is that JL list out of stock (cant even pre-order!), the local 02 franchise stores aren't all that helpful and the local 02 retail isn't answering the phone!
 
The update now adds the Moto 360 back to my want list but I'm still not sure how future proof it is compared to the S400 based smartwatches.

I'm actually tempted to wait for the 2nd generation of smartwatches, rethinking what I want, I'm not really that desperate for one.
 
I hope the next version of the Moto360 is kept nearly the same they really don't need to tough the design at all, just upgrade all the internals.
 
Im not a big fan of android but last night I went to a android wearables developer group in Manchester and got to play with glass for a while.
Thats some cool tech Im just not 100% about the use case.

Also there were some 360s there they looked the part too, quite fashionable.
 
Was hoping to have a look and a play with one before buying so went into the o2 store in Sheffield city centre to be told they have no idea when they are getting some in.

Getting tempted to just click the buy button on the website...
