SNES Mini Classic

See I don't get why these "profiteers" are doing this with the SNES.
The thing costs £70. Selling it for £90 will get you nothing on your return due to fees and postage....

maybe they're not profiteers but people who ordered two in case one of their pre-orders was cancelled and therefore just want to break even

Yep, had 3 delivered. One for myself, other 2 sold to my friends as they cant find any and not paying stupid ebay prices.

I bought mine from nintendo online for £70 long after initial amazon, game etc preorders were released and allocated for £80.

pretty amazing given they never released new stock after day 1 :)

must have hit a cancellation or something.

For whats its worth i dont consider £90 abusive profiteering. In addition we in a capitalist country, if people cannot find one for the magic £70 pricepoint blame nintendo for under supply.

Do you also blame musicians for ticket touts? Should they squeeze more seats in or do more shows.
If it's capitalism then let's tax them on any profits they make.

Saw on HotUKDeals, CeX are apparently paying £110 for each console and charging £150

Unless there is more stock released before Christmas I can see the prices going crazy

If anyone is still after one, use https://www.stockinformer.co.uk/checker-super-nintendo-entertainment-system-snes

It will ping alerts when they become available again at retailers etc. A friend got one from Amazon fr yesterday and apparently it cost him just under £80 after postage etc

Last night hit the point of Super Metroid I got stuck at the same point as I did on my original copy before boxing it all away to move house. I was running in circles for about an hour last night which led to finding a few secrets but not progressing the story.

Really don't want to use a guide but getting annoyed and I bet its something obvious, I am in the Maridia area and just can't seem to access the bulk of it.

I'm waiting on my controller extension cable to arrive today, then i'm jumping on Super Metroid, such a great game.

I went for this one and it's pretty good:

Only slight complaint I do have is that it's a little tight in the SNES port...but it'll probably stay in there 24/7 anyway.

Smyths have finally come good on my pre-order so looks like I'll be collecting tonight...I know it's the wrong attitude since I have one but I'm still slightly miffed about the £10 premium over the correct price.

I might hit that spoiler later if I spend another hour going in circles, cheers Biron_W..... assuming its hint hidden under there :)

I also got jiffy bag packed extensions for the controllers, it was 2 x 3m extensions for the £3 but haven't felt like I need them yet. That might have something to do with my setup which is still just messily hooked up, tempted to use spacers to push my wall mounted TV out another 10mm and simply fit the SNES mini behind it onto the wall with the controllers then coming out sideways.

I have my main HDMI cables run about 4m to the right side of the living room where my HTPC and Switch are, guess I will need the extensions after all if I simply sit it over there.

I took me ten minutes on super G&G to figure out how to jump over the first wall and I played that game to death back in the arcade! Oh how games have changed no tutorials or teaching you what to do. My daughter can play plenty of Xbox games but super Mario world is a real struggle!

I've been thinking of using velcro to fit the SNES to the back of my TV. It's not wall mounted, however as much as I love the look of the SNES Mini it's not exactly fitting for modern times.

For what I have in mind I'd like the console upside down and stuck to the rear of the TV, so the control ports are facing the stand, and then the controllers coming out from underneath the TV. The only issue I have is that I don't want sticky velcro on the console (i.e. to attach it to the TV), but if there was a wrap around velcro solution I'd probably be inclinded to do that. I don't mind sticking velcro to the back of the TV.

My mate has completed Super G&G without getting touched. Something we could never have dreamed of back in the day when we were 16 and had imported Super Famicoms.
Here's one of his runs, though not a no touch run.
