Snowpiercer | Netflix

Not a bad start to season 2. Will be interesting to see how they get along, and more importantly how the series will develop along the lines of earth turning back into a more hospitable environment. I've seen enough apocalyptic genres to know that most can flop quite quickly after starting with a great storyline.
 
It's ok but this mother daughter cringe.. the daughter is awful, as awful as the first class daughter. ......
I hate some of the characters but I'm stuck on the train now 1046 carriages long... Or whatever they say now :p
 
Started watching the first episode but it seems pretty cringe so far... I think people asking why a train etc.. are kind of missing the point a bit - this is some cringy metaphor thing for NVQ film students, too dumb for A-Levels, at some local college to be like "omg the train represents society and our finite resources blah blah, it's sooo powerful, it's about class struggle blah blah"

I reckon a film is a much better format for this sort of thing than a drawn-out series - I haven't seen the film either but I did like The Platform (also on Netflix and also has the potential for "OMG it's about our society man, the rich at the top but, like, they were born at that level dude etc..")
 
starts off okay then after a few episodses you think about the whole idea premise of it and realize it cant go anywhere. its a train going round a track. with people fighting over it. few seasons this will be canceled as there is nowhere to go with it.
 
Hated ep1 and e2 given up now.. Only tied it as a friend suggested it.. I was ignoring it as even the premis sounds boring.. End of the world comming.. Jump ona train.. Drive in circles.. People are and fight with each other then end.

Have you not watched the latest episodes of s2 if that's your feelings? They've already started setting things in motion so they won't be on the train forever and ever.

if they didnt have the train it would be completely and utterly boring, as stupid as the whole train metaphor is, its also a decent cramped way to pack in so much facepalming stupidity. i want to see an "icey bob" vs taily giant chinese speaking guy.

Honestly its cringe but there isnt much else out there so its something to watch while having dinner every week.

yea not a whole lot of good series right now, pretty much a drought imo...

I think the only ones I watch now the expanse has finished is this and american gods.
american gods seemed to have gone on a break whilst they edit out marilyn manson or something :rolleyes:

upto date now and i cant see how it could continue off train.if it evolves and goes through the whole sage in depth it could be cool but i dont see them doing that probably just make everything not work so they just keep on the train for as long as the show can milk it. will continue to watch. see how it progresses.
 
Meh, doing what they did with Season 1 and playing the final 2 episodes on the same day. Annoying, dunno why they can't just keep it week by week, so no episode today :(
