So, Anyone Got Their Christmas Tree(s) Up Yet?

Anyone tried doing a portal tree? I’ve seen them online and thought they looked fun.
I’m personally not up for it unless it comes as an easy kit which from a brief google don’t appear to be a thing. Can’t be arsed with cutting trees in half and screwing them to the wall.

I prefer them going up closer to Christmas, but my wife likes the build up. We compromised at 2 weeks before, give or take a few days. We'll put it up on Wednesday.

Got my main one up. As it was a bit later than normal, I couldn't find a tree I liked... this was the best of the bunch and it's OK, but not as bushy as I would have liked. I got one for the landing, too. Will do that tomorrow with my daughter and clean up the chaos a bit...

I accidentally bought something like that this year, we picked up what thought was a partially decorated tree - turned out it was half a flocked tree!

Mid December feels about right for festive erections. No decent person should put up Christmas decorations before the start of December at the very earliest.

I used to have some neighbours who always left their Christmas decorations up until at least February. I think one year they didn't take them down at all. And they didn't even have any children to blame for this affront to common decency.
