So err, What’s Happened to the Princess of Wales?

I wonder if Darkgen would get in line with all the others if he was rich?

I think not.

Unlike her, he and the other millions living with the disease they likely wouldn’t have a choice.

I feel bad for her but I don’t see why Ive had 5 separate notifications ping off on my phone about it.

She’s going to have some of, if not the best, healthcare this country has. She’ll be comfortable and that alone is better than most will get

You make it sound like she is responsible for the state of the NHS. You should be directing your bitterness towards the people who actually run the country, not someone like Kate, a mother of 3 fighting cancer.

I don't think people are aware of the availability of private insurance. The average NHS doctor, in my experience, seems reluctant to mention it as an option.

So people just hear the subject being bounced around the political arena.

The problem the NHS has is there is no incentive to improve the system. In a private business they have to improve to make money.

We need a private enterprise that the government is the majority share holder in.
Private insurance is prohibitively expensive as one ages. People will quickly find out what exponential means.

I feel sorry for the woman but her hope for others with the condition falls on deaf ears with me. Perhaps she should take a ticket and get in line with the rest of the populace for cancer related treatments.

So if you win the lotto and had cancer you would gladly give up private treatment because of your morals, damn your children?

I don't understand why they didn't just go with this first instead of trying to lie about it and keep it a secret when nothing stays secret with them
It would definitely be better if she was in line like everyone else and took a space from someone who couldn’t otherwise afford private care….
Aren't a lot of the private specialists, specialists in the NHS who moonlight as private specialists so it makes little difference they're going to be busy whether servicing private or NHS patients

I’m not making it sounds like anything? I’ve just stated that she is going to get treated infinitely better than most of us can ever dream of and she’ll be comfortable.

To blame her would be stupid. But it’s just as bad acting as if she’s going to have a cancer experience just as bad as any other regular individual, because she won’t. Is that her ‘fault’? No. But the fact just because she’s shacked up with the ‘right’ person and will get treatment many would kill for is bonkers to me

Though if you wish to put them on a pedestal above the rest of the population and think they’re deserving of this special treatment I’m not going to try and change your opinion

It could cut the waiting times down for consultations, and just use the NHS for the procedure.

There needs to be allowed cross industry recognition.

Consultants should be able to refer the patient to another consultant instead of having to go back to the GP for another referral.

I sometimes think road blocks are purposely put in front of private health care making it a hassle for the patient.

Perhaps if you tried a bit harder in life you'd be able to afford private medical as well?
