So err, What’s Happened to the Princess of Wales?

Some amount of nonsense on here.

Relatively young woman has been hounded for weeks for being ill and is forced to make statement explaining to the world what's wrong with her rather than having any kind of privacy. In exchange for this she will get excellent medical care. She signed up for the role so she knew what she was getting into but that's as far as it goes.

Many people get better than NHS medical care and most would take it if in a position to do so. The bitterness towards her on a human level is pathetic.

All I see is a young mother at 42 with cancer, and I wish her the best. Having some kind of bitterness towards the fact she will get private medical care seems nonsensical to me.
So do I. Hence I said I have the utmost sympathy for her. But people like you fawning all over the royals like they are actually in any way relevant to you at all is what’s nonsensical.
And I’ve no bitterness towards her getting private medical care in the slightest - I have private medical care so your belief I have some sort of bitterness is misplaced.

Exactly how am I fawning over anyone? Maybe you should go back and read what was actually written instead of allowing your dislike for the monarchy to dictate your views.

You're the one crying over private health care which so many people in this country have lol. It's not like they have access to some super top secret health miracle cure. Perhaps get some perspective and calm down.

Yes. Bawling my eyes out. I haven’t complained about it. You just decided to make an assumption about me.

Exactly how? Because as soon as anyone posts anything negative about the royals you and others have jumped in to defend them and insult the person posting. Fawning maybe isn’t the right word, but it’ll do me for now.

Can you show me where I insulted anyone, or defended anything ‘negative’ said about the royals? I don’t think you’ve read what I posted at all.

Not here, everywhere. It's the state of society sadly. Anything for the clicks.

I wish her all the best. What an awful thing to go through.
Has anyone not wished her 'the best' btw? If NHS care wasn't in the toilet I doubt people would even mention it.

I always thought medical care for cancer was reasonably good even on the NHS?

I don't see what private does will change that. Her status might get her jumped up the que a little quicker but in the end cancer is cancer. Diagnosing it in the early stages is what saves the vast majority and that is where private pays because you get the diagnosis early through proper routine check ups.

irrational perspective
You’re accusing people of irrational perspective. You’re accusing people of being bitter. None of the posts you replied to contained any of those things. You invented them to defend the royals and to attempt to insult the person posting.

Edit: this isn’t just aimed at you. There’s plenty of others in here being all arsey just because some posters aren’t as in love with the royals as some ‘subjects’ are.

Sorted my dad’s throat cancer out brilliantly just a few short years back. He got an appointment in one week and then started treatment about a fortnight after. Made an excellent recovery

That in my eyes is the problem with it all. I’ve not complained about private healthcare like some are banging on about. It’s just that just because she is in the royal family she will get better care. Nothing more nothing less.

Jane Smith without private healthcare and Joe Bloggs with private healthcare are not going to get the same treatment.

I know life is about the haves and have nots but that doesn’t mean I need to agree with it just because they’re some family we’re supposed to care about more than our regular neighbours.

People really get their backs up with the royal family. I’m not ignoring the irony that I also get my back up cause I dislike them

Hopefully they've caught whatever it is early and the treatment will be effective.

I lost my mum to leukaemia when I was 13, she was only 38 and it took just a month from finding out to it taking her, I would not wish that on any family.

I think it could be better but it overall is great when you consider it’s free.

My grandmother had stomach cancer which she beat and had a nice healthy life after. Passed away last year.

Unfortunately, with my grandfather they targeted the wrong type of cancer (they thought it was prostrate but it was of the colon) so we lost him to it.
