So I think I have finally found myself a car... First car.

i think thats just the really small ones, i cant say i feel my 306 is like that really :s
i wish i could rewind and have a 106/205 as my first car to be honest
actually i dunno, i did love the fiesta, i think in the fiesta vs 106 arguement its nippyness vs handling though really

I had a 205 as a 2nd car, and even though it was a derv is was great fun unless you were stuck in traffic as it sounded like a tractor! :D

Still, my size 11's didn't have too much trouble with the throttle pedal, as long as I wasn't wearing huge boots or anything else equally unsuitable... The pedals seemed to be further apart compared to the 106 I think.

Great first car. My first and only car so far is a fiesta. 2001 fiesta with currently 40,000 miles, and i paid my dad 600 quid.

So lucky to have a dad that repairs cars, I get servicing chucked in too, and the occasional air freshener.

Great little car, I bought one for the gf as her first car.

It's how it should be done,

Too many people (my sister included) go out and spank £5k or something on a car and it's wrecked within the year.

I had a P reg one. Hated it. Although it was ok for a first car. Still quite nippy since it had very little in the way of extras in it :)

Like every peugeot, unless you have women feet, its difficult to accelerate with your foot just on the accelerator. There is a lump next to it, so see if you are ok with the sitting position first.

Mrs deej had a T reg 106 and I know what you mean about the lump. In her 306, it isn't there.

Well done on a great choice. Use it to get some experience and some no claims and work your way up. Being your first car it doesn't matter that its not the fastest or best equiped. You'll love it and have a great deal of fun. No matter what happens you'll look back on this car with a lot of love.

You can build up some no claims and then enjoy upgrading to bigger and better things as the years pass and your talent increases.

I am definitely going for it. :)

So... What should I look into now, going to sort insurance and tax, need to buy bits and bobs for the car, shall get it serviced, and valet cheaply down the road to get it nice, clean and have the nice new feeling to it. :)

Ahhh, she asked her sister again, and her sister is now buying it. :(

I have to find another car now. I was hoping to have one by next Weekend!

I hate car searching, especially when I do not know really what to look for.

You know what to look for now,

More than one 106 out there mate.

Set yourself a budget and get looking :)

Just a quick example

Bit high on the mileage but if it drives well it would be a contender for myself.

or even

The saxo is pretty much the same car also.
