OP you know what you should do. Tell him to forget about the cheque. Ask him to send you the cash via Paypal (Yes i know you didn't use it) or a bank transfer. Enough of this cheque BS.

Reading between the lines here...
Your manner seems to give off the impression that you have not been completely honest with the whole story here, and was posting nothing more then for attention, since you have NO INTEREST IN LISTENING TO PEOPLE OFFERING ADVICE.
Sorry but I treat others with the contempt they deserve....

LOL STFU.

I have listened to excellent advice off some people and the other stuff is just complete and utter CARP! You sir are one of these that just posts to be annoying. At the end of the day do you agree with everything that people say?

I dont know what gives you the impression i havent been honest... However if you read all the pages then you will realise that i have actually noted some advice and even actioned it....

Like i said... DONT POST IF IT IS OFF TOPIC - as i couldnt give two flying banditos about posts like this.

*please note: when people post irritable comments like this i usually find myself getting banned. So i would advise not to as i wont be able to tell some of you (who care) the outcome.

FFS READ.... he has actually been away...

fair doos hes taken a while... it took me 20 days to receive the jeans... hes obviously a very laid back guy.

And in the mean time you are £1500 out of pocket.

Numerous promises refunds and cheques never materialising, do you need someone to draw you a picture?

You are a con artists wet dream mate.

LMAO !!

What have you actually done other than be fobbed off repeatedly!!!

You have seen a solicitor, you haven't filed a claim with the small claims court.

Even after severl refunds that have never materialised, cheques that haven't arrived you are still chatting to the guy trying to get him to refund you.

Wake up, you are not getting the money, your only option is to take legal action.

Shep_Cobain, I don't normally frequent GD so I don't know you or most of the people here. Everything this other guy has told you is a lie. He is laughing to his mates about how he is stringing along some guy who bought £1200 of crap jeans from him on ebay.

Everyday he gets another laugh out of his mates when he goes to them and says "Can you believe it? I told him I would send it tomorrow and HE BELIEVED ME! HAHAHAHAHA"

You can either do something about it and there are lots of people on this thread who have already told you how to get the ball rolling or you can be the but*of his jokes for another 10 weeks.

If you are going to take option B, then please look me up as I have a wholesale batch of t-shirts that I'll be putting up on ebay next week. I'll even guarantee they are saleable condition and if they aren't then you can pay to ship them back and in 10 weeks time I'll send you a cheque for the full amount by standard 1st class post.

Ah, the good old Vinatge Wholesale Company, nothing but 110% quality service from those geezers...

In other news, I once read about this couple who had sent thousands of pounds to some Nigerian 419er who were approached by the police and told that they had been scammed. This couple proceeded to argue with the police and defend their dear friend the Nigerian who would never do such a thing to them.

Shamefully, I lol'd :(

Regardless of all the ins and outs that have gone on here, it just shows you that you can't trust anyone. I'm talking in a business sense here.

Taking someone at face value? Seems more like a triumph of hope over probability.

I don't actually believe hes trying to scam you (as in not pay), although the evidence seems to point this way.

I really think he's just a lazy muppet, whom is taking his sweet ******* time. He'll either eventually give you a refund, when it suits him and his pocket, or hes hoping you'll eventually give up because: a)its too much hassle and b)you made a mistake with PayPal so you'll just chalk this one down to karma.

Hope you get your money either way.

There could be a suitable building down Jesmond Gardens, if I'm out tomorrow I'll drive past and have a look.

It begs the question, why are they 'selling' them on eGay if they can flog them for £10K+?

Sounds like a definite scam!

Because people are naive and think they are on to a bargain until they find out what they have bought.

Its like people telling you can earn £1000 a week on ebay, all you need to do is buy an ebook and the way to make that £1000 you have to sell ebooks on ebay.

It seems to me like you believe he wouldn't dare scam you because he sounds so genuine over the phone, and that because he took the time to call you in his own personal time it furthers your trust in him.

If I had an extra £1500 from a scam I'm sure I could spare 1 minute and what, 25p? on a phonecall to keep some stranger happy.

Don't worry.. it won't arrive, then he'll fob you off for another 2 weeks while he sends another

I'm with clearbluesky on this one.. you may be fuming, but at the moment he doesn't feel threatened. You need to take action soon or it'll fall too far beyond a limit (which he probably knows is xxx days) and you won't be able to claim anything back.

Call your solicitor, arrange a meeting.. discuss your options. If you have no legal standing / lack of evidence then you're better off going around with a few mates and outright demanding the money back... by which time they'll have packed up and moved on.
