i would have killed him already by now and have him burried in my basement, i cand believe you got fobbed off for so long, nothing will happen unless you take direct action get your self down to the warehouse take some thug from the pub with you
 
just phoned it and recorded it on my video camera. He answered and said hello! i said PHil its luke... he said hiya mate did you get it?

I said no and he said hes defo send it unregistered 1st class yesterday. So knowing Royal Mail it will be here tomorrow.

go down there to collect it if it doesn't turn up tomorrow, they can cancel the other one.
 
I think a lot of people would have turned to violence by this point. Either way, the OP is behaving like an utter wuss... "should I phone him, if I record his conversation..." blah blah - that's what he wants you to do, you're busy recording conversations whilst he's already sold on what he already sold to you. He has YOUR money, and another mug's money.

You can't even charm him into giving you a partial refund.

It's a better idea, but I can imagine the scene...

OP: "I want my refund..."

Del Boy: "I sent it in the post..."

OP: "Then write me another..."

Del Boy: "No need, it's at your house now. Go home and have a look."

OP: "Duuuuhh... ok."

/OP goes home, checks doormat

OP: "Hold on, there's no cheque here!"

They probably wont issue another one as many business accounts require that you write in to cancel the cheque, so they wont be able to issue another one for a few days.

Dunno what stopped the OP taking a drive down one weekend and going to see him. Not for violence, but to collect a cheque in person.
 
Go and collect it, petrol should not cost you more than a grand wherever he lives. Leaves you around £500 for the wallet :)
 
You purchased 600 jeans at less then £3 each? Did you really think you was going to get a good deal there? Seems too good to be true to me
 
just been reading through this thread and I hope you get your money back. Also had a look at their ebay page, new arrival in the store - 600 pairs of vintage 501's!

You have no idea you complete and utter ****. Why am i a wuss?/

Dont you think i have lost my temper on the phone with him, dont you think i have threatened him with legal action?

Do you think that if i dont get my money back he will get away with it? You sir are a joke....

Im not being stupid or daft. But he said he will send it and has sent it... ive stuck with him and agreed to wait. But this is the last straw if it doesnt turn up tomorrow.

However.... why would anyone go down and see him and then smash his face in until he is no longer recognisable? I tell you why they would do that... because they have no brain. He thinks im a pushover etc. But im not... but ive been biding my time and working things out.

I dont post in forums to be insulted and i dont approve of it. I just asked for some advice. I would love for you to be in this situation and just see how violence or any other ways would get your money back.

Its mainly my fault because i trusted the guy from the start. None of this would have even happened if i put the claim in through paypal as they aleays favour the buyer. However because paypal werent involved in the refund they refuse to help.

So... its just between me and him & he has promised me 100% this refund so if i dont get it by this weekend i will see my solicitor. IF they cant help and trading standards donr help... then i will most likely be on the 6 o clock news for murder of one scummy B****** and his car.

We all learn from our mistakes in life and dont need **** like you rubbing it in.

So tbh if you dont have anything better to say on the matter i would prefer it if you kept your comments to yourself.
 
To be fair though, according to your original post "He described them as all sellable etc."

You bought them, so they where sellable, no?

Why you would trust anyone who has given you the run around for 7 weeks is beyond me. Why you are even willing to take a hit of £300, yet not pay 2 tanks of petrol to see him, in this whole debacle is also beyond me.
 
Get the solicitor to write letter and record a conversation with him. Stop contact and let the solicitor do the work. The guy will crumble once he deals with the law being actioned against him.
 
You are being taken for a ride. There was no cheque posted, and there wont be either.

You need to get down there and stove that hippie's face in. A good shoeing is the only language these criminals understand.
