So, the Championship season has started **Spoilers**

Came back into it in the second half, should have made it 2-2. Had all the possession, territory and attempts on goal, but the ref just didn't have a grip on the game. Reading were time wasting from the 30th minute - I don't really have a problem with Reading doing so, all teams do and I've seen us do it enough, but the ref needs to get a hold of the game if it's the case. He simply bottled it, and I was actually concerned I was going to have an aneurysm by the end of the game as I was screaming at him so much :p

We're still massively depleted through injuries but I saw enough to be encouraged. On another note, we've conceded the first goal in all of our 5 games so far, going 2-0 in 3 of them! Positively, Dijkhuizen does well to change things up and the changes impact the game well. Hey ho, international break before I head up to Elland Road for the first time - looking forward to it , and also to having a wave at Uwe :D

I do not have a clue what is happening at Wednesday. Started the season with an excellent performance and win, since then it has basically gotten worse on a pretty consistent basis.

Wednesday were absolutely dire against M'boro, bar ~15~ minutes at the start of the second half. A lot of mistakes; tactics were strange, selection was strange, substitutions were strange.

Announced today that Wednesday have signed two players from Watford, one season long loan (left back, thank ****) and a forward on a permanent deal (rumoured about ~3,000,000 pounds), so I'm pleased Wednesday are still looking to improve (with Turner coming in on a season long loan too) but we need more than just a 'few' more players.

The tactics are dreadful and negative. I am not sure Carvalhal is the right man for the job, so to speak, I hope he moves on soon. Dreadful under him so far, despite all of his talk of '4-3-3' and 'attacking', he has got to change a lot for any faith to be restored with me.

Sad Wednesdayite. Pitch looks nice still, and the screen is pretty good... so we have that going for us.

Apparently you've had a 10m bid for McCormack rejected. What the hell!!

Also the 3m player is Foresteri, he didn't want to come to us! We've signed some 5 star skilled I've never heard of.

What a result!...I feared the worst after it went 2-2. Great to see Hemed do the business, and Bobby Zamora come on.

Brighton are the early pace setters and looking good at the minute.

Happy to see Boro back to winning ways in the league, a pretty assured performance. But as Tummy said, Wednesday made it easy for us!

So odd, the bid for McCormack. He's just signed a new deal as well.. I'd like to make profit on him should we sell him, and £10m would be profit... but there's no way he'd leave for another Championship team, surely?

Rumours that Fulham will wrap up a few deals, believed to be;

Richard Stearman (Wolves) - £1m + £1m add ons
Bakary Kone (Lyon) - Up to €2m
Ryan Fredericks (Bristol City) - £175k
Gary Hooper (Norwich) - not sure

Be very happy with those, although not sure we need another two CB's after Tim Ream, still rumours of Mancienne as well.

You signed him for 10.75m, syke? Let alone his wages are probably astronomical for Champ team.

McCormack? £5m up front and £2m add-ons was confirmed by our Chief Exec (assuming a % of sale as well). Wages rumoured to still be below £20k a week, but god knows. Our highest paid players were Mitroglou, Ruiz, Parker, Stekelenburg, Rodallega and Amorebieta. All have since left or we're not paying the wages with the exception of Parker who apparently took a huge drop in wages from relegation. Apparently our wage bill has gone from ~£750k a week to under £280k since being relegated as well.

I do not want McCormack. You are welcome to keep him bud.

Instead of spending ten million on a forward, Wednesday should pay their manager to leave and never return to the club. Then find a manager who knows what they are doing, makes the decision to remove Stuart Grey even more mental.

These international breaks are a bit boring, eh? Still trying to get used to them after supporting a team that hasn;t left the bottom two divisions for 50 years!

Anyway, what's everyone's opinions on the transfer activity of their own and other teams in the league?

I've got no idea how we'll fair after losing some key players, but we've bought international talent (two Danish internationals, an Austrian international, Germany's leading U21 striker, Germany and French former youth international... and a ginger kid from Shrewsbury!) and managed to make a £6m profit in the process. Going to be interested to see how the team fits together after some horrific injury luck, and also a new management and coaching team; none of whom have ever experience English football before and our new head coach was managing a Dutch Sunday league side 18 months' ago!

There's been a bit of depression hanging over the club since May, as it's evidently become apparent that last season was largely a failure, despite over-achieving. A win on Boxing Day would have sent us top, but Warburton's absolute refusal to bring players into our already depleted squad saw our form massively drop off - 5 wins from the final 15 games of the season. What could have been...

Anyway, I've been impressed with both Reading and BHA with regards to their transfer activity, same goes for Ipswich. Wolves seem to have avoided signing anyone of note, and Wednesday, Middlesbrough and Derby have been spending a fair amount.

Let's hope for a good game and a home win :p Hope to see Botaka play and his 5 star skills haha

Point or points for us and Dallas not scoring would suit me. Was hoping to check out Almost Famous but a hangover and a porterhouse last night put an end to that. Thanks for having a ground miles away from the train station :) enjoy the game.

A very emotional day today and the players responded very well. We started like a train and should have been well in front at ht. The second half was a bit boring until we bought Bobby on.

Started really well this season. We look like a really good team atm. Rotherham at home on Tues as well.

Encouraging today. Thought we were the better side in the first half and deservedly took the lead. Second half and we should have put the game to bed with a shot off the post and a header bouncing across an open goal line. We changed it up in the midfield and Leeds got back into it through an entirely preventable equalise ;) Never mind... it's a long old season and we're going to be a tough side once our new players get used to the division and our injured players return - we've got Jota, McEachran and McLeod to come back into the side, with Bjelland and Hogan to return later in the season.

Exciting game today and just what I needed to get overy hangover.

Sounds like Leeds gave a pretty terrible performance today :(.

On the plus side, we're still undefeated :D.

I'm hoping this new 5* skills/tekkers/speed demon/#yolo player lives up to the hype!

I'm hearing that Byram has really started to let himself down recently :(

Fulham tearing us a new one at the moment, Grant Hanley is a genuinely woeful player. No idea why so many Rovers fans like him, i've always thought he was garbage.

Blackburn should have won that game with the chances they created in the second half, not to mention the ball being several inches over the line and not being given. Fulham were incredibly lucky to get the win in the end.

good old blues are doing well considering our team cost about 500k and a bag of pork scratchings. Rowett is going to get headhunted soon :(
