So, the Championship season has started **Spoilers**

Another win playing averagely for Forest, i thought Wednesday did enough to perhaps draw, and should have been 1 up in the first minute or so.

Still, grinding out results while we get players back to fitness and with Watford the closest challengers going all weird perhaps we can open a gap before the inevitable wobble.

Very impressed with Forest. I knew that the side would be combative and physical, after all it is a Stuart Pearce side, what I thought was out of order was the theatrics, time wasting from about ~30/35 minutes.

Wednesday should have won the match, created more shots on target. After Palmer missed a sitter in the opening minutes it was always going to be a fun afternoon.

Forest are being touted as Promotion favourites and after watching them against Wednesday, I'm not sure I would agree. Certainly not the best side I've seen at Hillsborough.

I thought Boro would be promotion candidates but not sure now, Karanka seems to opt for weird tactics/teams. Reading and Sheff Wed at home you should just not be losing to. Also Seb Hines shouldn't get near the first team.

Sheffield Wednesday should have won that match comfortably 0-3.

Wolves fan here.

Great result for us yesterday against Blackburn. Really pleased with the way we are playing at the moment. I certainly don't expect anything better than mid-table this year, but there are so many reasons to be happy as a wolves fan at the moment.

I genuinely think we have the best midfield in the division....
However i am worried what happens if Nouha gets a knock, he is key to how we play because of his workrate etc as the lone striker..
No way clarke/mcallinden could do that job

On paper we look really good, even more so now that we have more additions.

I hope we will start playing 2 up front, at least at home, now we have the firepower.

The inclusion of Jamal Blackman is good too, I'd imagine Chelsea will want him to get some games so hopefully he will replace Mejias :p

These 2 weeks will hopefully iron out the bad, I'd rather the issues and wobbles were now so they can be sorted out.

Quite content with a 3-2 loss today. Away from home, going for it the whole game. At least we had a go. More than we would have done last year under garcia!

At least we are playing good football, so I'm happy.

Did you manage to get to the game in the end? If so, I hope you enjoyed the pubs.

Thought we did quite well today. Had an awful start and were lucky not to be one or two down after 15 minutes, but then that 15 minute spell we had was a joy to behold. BHA should have been down to ten men, no idea why Dunk wasn't sent off as he was clearly the last man, but the period that followed was outstanding beautiful football and ended up 2-0 ahead just before half time.

Conceding just before the break from a silly corner was a bit of a pain, but we were good value at 3-1. However, we really tired with 75 mins gone and ground out the result, despite an excellent second goal from Holla.

Enjoying this so far, and showing that our passing play and technical players can really do a bit of damage against Championship sides. Few big games coming up, iwth Norwich on Tuesday at home before a long trip up to Middlesbrough.

No, couldn't make it in the end. Had to listen to it on the radio! Plus for some reason, the people I go with wanted to watch the Tour of Britain which was down here yesterday:confused:

Some people, eh? Good luck for the rest of the season. Looking for to going to the Amex already!

Bolton have signed Max Clayton subject to personal terms.

How has a club with a £168 million debt found £300,000?

Most of their debt, afaik, is held with the owner. It's basically not "debt" as in he demands repayment before he'll release more funds. It's debt held with the club so that if he sells it, he has that money on the books and can try and get it paid back.

IE right now if someone wanted to buy Bolton he could say... the club will cost you for arguments sake, 50million, but he'll have to be paid back 168mil of that debt. if he writes off that debt, then someone buys the club for 50mil and there is no obligation to pay back that money.

Until he stops injecting cash, they'll have it when they want/need it. If he ever got bored and decided the club had to pay him back, he can strip the assets, take all the cash, sell himself the stadium, knock it down and build blocks of flats, etc.

It's when a club has debt with a bank or something that has repayment terms, they wouldn't be able to get extra funding(well not as easily).

He looked good on trial with Wolves, but the clubs couldn't agree a fee.

Seems that Crewe lowered their expectations to avoid getting less at a tribunal.

He was training with FC Midtjylland in Denmark recently, which would have resulted in a much lower compensation fee for Crewe if he'd have joined, so they sensibly reduced their asking price.

On the note of debt, the structure of FFP is so backward. It's ridiculous that a team losing £7m a year, but being financed by loans from an owner, is considered the same as a team losing £7m a year but having that financed through equity which an owner will subsequently write off. One is an investment, the other is debt. And the nature of that debt is at the whim and benevolence of the owner.

We has Roades owning (and managing ) the club at one point, including using the stadium as collateral, and after falling out with everyone he departed he recalled the debt and left us completely screwed. What's to stop the same thing happening at Bolton or Wigan - all Whelan needs is for DW Sports to go **** up and his backing may dry up and he be forced into recalling the debts.

The FFP and EPPP aren't exactly making waves in football at the moment.

Went down to watch Charlton recently. They've got some good players down there. The new lads Vetokele, Buyens and gudmonssen are very good.

Vetokele looks really good. Scored 2 against us a few weeks back.

Some ridiculous stat that in Brighton's first 5 games the opposition had 5 shots on target and they all went in!...Not totally unrelated btw, I've not been impressed with Stockdale, apart from when he nearly scored against Charlton.

I am perfectly ok with a mid-table finish this season tbh. Not sure about Hyypia but at least we might get some stability at last.

I can safely say that I won't be traveling to The Riverside Stadium after that performance ever again. £200 down the drain, and our worst performance for a year. Hope for for some improvements against Leeds in a week.
