So, the Championship season has started **Spoilers**

17 games. Longest unbeaten run in over 80 years! However...

MK Dons are by far the worst team I have ever seen at the Amex. It really was unbelievable how bad they were. They couldn't do incredibly simple things... The game should be investigated for match fixing, as the amount of times they just kicked the ball straight out was incredible!
. We went 2-0 early and everyone just assumed it was going to be 4 or 5 nil. They really were atrocious. Then suddenly Maynard had a long potshot that went in and it all changed. We still created chances and should have scored some more (well if we had decent strikers that is) but the rest of the game was awful.

Great first goal from Solly March though, who is coming along nicely and will be a very good premiership player, with or without us.

That March guy, when I watched you beat Forest in the first game of the season I thought he was absolutely woeful, he couldn't control, pass and trying tricks that were not coming off. He looked a different player the other week I saw him.

MK Dons are very poor in this league, I thought all the promoted teams would be a success as they're all good footballing sides. Only Preston look like they have survival in them as they can keep a clean sheet, they just need Becks back.

March was apalling for the first few games of the season. It was actually embarrassing watching him as it was like a boy playing with men. Then suddenly he seemed to man up against Hull iirc and he's been excellent since then. No way we will keep hold of him if we don't get promoted in the next few years.

Out of the promoted teams, I wasn't impressed with Preston but I thought Bristol City have a shout as they created a fair bit and have a striker who looks pretty good, Kodija or something. I don't think all 3 will be relegated as Rotherham and Bolton look really poor.

Preston aren't too pretty on the eye but can grind out results which is what you need in this league when trying to survive. They have quite a lot of injuries too.

Huddersfield I can see getting relegated, their Chairman sacked Powell because he refused to play kids who he didn't think were ready, they looked really poor today.

Quality performance from Hull City this afternoon and what a screamer from Thuddlestone! Need a new net now! Diame was class, Dawson is an absolute rock and even Maguire was absolutely solid at the back. 5 league clean sheets on the bounce and 12 goals scored for. Can't ask for more than that.

The biggest problem that Steve Bruce faces now is keeping hold of all his players during the January transfer window. The best thing he can do is to keep his team at the top of the Championship by Christmas and hopefully tempt the players to stay through the incentive of possibly getting to the Premier League.

I didn't think much to Brighton and felt they'd fall away soon, but I'm hopeful the signing of Wilson will see the lad score for fun, even though I don't care for United. I think it's a really good signing potentially.

Be interesting to see Wilson today. We desperately need a goalscorer so hopefully he gets off to a good start. It certainly looks like a good signing.

Birmingham will be tough today.

Best performance I've seen in a while today. Birmingham were never in it. We battered them. Solly March was unplayable!

Wilson looked OK. He came on with 20 to go and had one great chance where was through on goal and put it past the keeper and everyone thought it was in, but it came back off the post.

The run continues!

After a few names being thrown around - most recently Pep Clotet at Swansea - it looks like we'll be settling on our man over the next day or so; step forward Dean Smith!

I've been up to the Bescot to watch us play his Walsall teams several times, and have always been impressed. One of the smallest budgets in the league, and would even turn a profit sometimes, yet he's developed an attacking and fluid team, and would be in good stead to get promoted.

Quite excited about our season now. A win tonight on the tele would put us 1 point outside of the play-offs - bearing in mind our awful injury record, our managerial missteps and the fact that we've got Jota, MacLeod, McEachran and Collin to return soon, with Djuricin and Hogan on the way back, I reckon we could put ourselves in an excellent position for the play-offs if we're around 6th-9th come the new year.

Interestingly enough, we've not yet lost to a team below us this season but not beaten any team above! Also, I heard over the weekend that last season we scored more goals directly from opposition corners than we did our own corners! Beautiful counter-attacking football or woeful at set pieces... you decide ;)

And the run goes on.

I feared the worst during the first half, where Charlton should have been 5-0 up. They started really well and were very dangerous breaking with pace, but we were shockingly bad. Stepped up in the second half led once more by Beram Kayal who is quality. Solly March was motm again. No way we will be able to keep hold of him!

James Wilson looks pretty good and scored a really good solo goal too. Zamora though... He couldn't have dreamed it would go this well in his return!

The next three games are really tough for us. Away at Derby, QPR and Brentford and home to Boro. Can't see the run lasting much longer.

Should have beaten Bolton last Monday, but 1 point of the play-offs after beating the worst side I've seen at this level - MK Dons were awful. Scored two, hit the bar three times, two clear cut one on ones missed, one off the line and a virtual open goal missed; could have won that by 5 or 6. Playing great stuff

Two big games up next, and Jota and McEachran are now back fit. Hoping this will be a great Christmas period for the Bees.
