So, the Championship season has started **Spoilers**

Getting sick of sky bbc etc(though I am far too used to it by now). Just watched an interview with Alex Neill and the interviewer asked him about losing to a 'team like Brighton'

Also, ten clean sheets so far this season. Shane Duffy has been a hell of a signing, and Lewis Dunk had gone from strength to strength... I know everyone thinks this of their own players, but I do think he is the best cb in the league now. Lots of fans say that after we play them too. No way we can keep him(or Knockaert) if we don't do it this sesson

I hope we can keep Murray in fit!

The Championship is a tough, tough league and Brighton are a good side. The broadcasters look down on the Championship far too much, and downplay good, high status clubs that find themselves in the league.

Always happens, the coverage of football outside of the Premier League is absolutely shocking in general. Terrible in general, funny as whenever there is a caller from outside the Premier League on FiveLive they always seek to move on quickly and offer little opinion; applies to most outside of the top six in England to be honest. It's boring.

I made a super long post a few weeks back, but when it came to posting it the forum was offline for maintenance and I could not be bothered to retype it; but I mentioned that Dunk was the one centre back (outside of Football Manager;- bringing anyone in) that I would most want from the Championship and I think he an excellent player.

I rate Tom Lees highly, he's excellent (no idea why Leeds allowed him to leave ), and I think he is certainly in the conversation about quality defenders in the Championship too.

Good win for Fulham too , probably my favourite London based club (though I do like Watford if they count?).

Huddersfield have not impressed me; I'll caveat that by saying I thought the same last season, and what I mean is that they go on a fantastic run and then the bubble bursts. Happened last season too; get some momentum and some good results and then a poor run (similar to Birmingham, suddenly the media notice the run, give tonnes of credit to the amazing manager and amazing job he is doing, and then back to normal and mid table).

Yeah, keep an eye on Fulham this year. I was saying earlier, it looks to me like they might be a scrape in to the playoffs then win it team this season.

Huddersfield third, with a - 1 goal difference!

I like the look of Fulham, and Leeds this season (aside from the usual lot). Been impressed by Bristol, Reading, and Burton too.

Talking of center backs Jansson for us have been a god send, him and Bartley look a fantastic partnership.

Tummy, we should never have sold Lees, but that's Neil Warnock for you, sells him because he had a bad game, he also got Barkley on loan and never played him etc. Absolute baffoon.

We are in good form but we are going into a really tough couple of months so not that confident of keeping it going, we need to score more! Wood has 10 goals already, he got 12 the whole of last season, what a difference some creativity/pace brings to your strikers, eh.

Is this actually the case though? I've felt that Sky have made a proper go at promoting the Football League in recent seasons. This season they're showing 127 games from the Football League, which - unless I'm reading this wrong - is more than their Premier League live coverage. This weekend they're showing a West London derby, a Midlands derby and also showed Blackburn vs Wolves.

Pighardia certainly has a point in that teams like Brighton - who are clearly one of the best sides in the league - are routinely looked down upon in favour of the current or former larger teams. I would argue that those smaller or unfashionable teams performing well amongst the good, high status clubs are looked down upon and ignored significantly more than the larger ones. Brighton, Huddersfield, Barnsley, Preston, etc. are all on the receiving end of this, whereas Sky glorify and suck up to the bigger sides who've been underperforming relative to their histories/size for the last decade (Leeds, Forest, Wednesday, Derby, etc.). All of whom have far greater budgets and followings than those smaller teams who are scrapping away and performing very well.

Derby spent more one player than our total transfer fee in the past ten years! I take your point regarding club status' but certainly we have no budget, never have since being relegated.

I mentioned to my brother in law last night, why the hell are Wolves are Sky so much? Apparently we are on 5 times in 19 days soon so all good...I think.

I think there must be lots of games on Sky between now and the end of the year. I got an email the other day saying that 3 or 4 of our Saturday 3pm kick-offs are being moved in December!

The Brighton vs Leeds game is now Friday night instead of Saturday

Certainly - point taken. Was more highlighting the size of Leeds rather than your budget, which I imagine is probably about average for the Championship. That said, we're you guys on TV constantly last season (or earlier this), leading to Cellino to ban Sky from the ground?

Incidentally, our New Year's Eve game against Norwich at home has been pushed back to a 5.30pm kick off for TV. A few things - firstly that's a bit crap for Norwich fans if they have local NYE plans, secondly I'm going to be in the sticks in upstate NY and this means I'll now probably be able to watch the game ;) and lastly, a few years back we played Norwich on a Tuesday night (this was shortly after their relegation to League One, and shortly after their famous 7-1 loss to Colchester United on the first day of the season). I think we beat them 2-0 and unfortunately for the poor NCFC fans their train broke down on the way east from Liverpool Street and they had top spend the night in the dark sat on a train in the middle of nowhere having just got beaten by a ****e Brentford side in League One... a very humbling experience I can imagine :D

Poor decision from your point of view over Lees, Barkley looked an absolute cut above the Championship when he was at Wednesday, similar to Wickham. Barkley was wonderful for us, touch, vision, passing, positioning ... everything just a cut above.

Actually; I was unaware that is how many matches Sky are showing. I think that's excellent (I watch pretty much any football on Sky/BT/Where ever), but I would argue that few of the 'EFL' fixtures get nearly as much build up / hype as the Premiership matches.

Also; Wednesday have been ignored by the media for large periods (I'm sure many fans feel like this), and I would argue Leeds do too. Leeds only get attention as a result of their manager (rarely the football).

I certainly think it is true of Derby, I would even argue that Forest get less attention (headlines on Sky in the build up to a match type thing) though.

Sky only talk up clubs that either have money and are progressing (Leicester were on television a lot in their Championship promotion year), or flavours of the month. There are some huge matches in the Championship, would be nice to see Sky properly try and build hype for the match.

I think in short, what I think part of the problem is; Premier league matches are made to 'feel' like events with lots of build up and hype, where 'EFL' matches are treated... well just as mere football matches.

Honestly, it might just be me, but I would much, much rather watch an inform Championship side/local-ish derby/two 'sleeping giants' than ******* 'Super Sunday' featuring West Brom and Hull.

Great scenes there. I'll never get used to the yellow card for 'over the top' celebrations. It'll forever anger me.

How dare players celebrate without their shirts on... and their sponsors showing.
