So, the Championship season has started **Spoilers**

Good win, poor performance.

The performance was okay, tactically I thought we were spot on.

Reading are a good side and we nullified them, they didn't really look a threat (baring the scramble at the end when the game was done). The number of passes between their goalie, back four and defensive midfielder was hilarious. I had a look at the possession stats at the end and they had 75%, I'd estimate 95% of that was in their own half. I'm just hoping the injury to Wood isn't too bad, he'll be a massive miss if he's out for the run of games we've got coming up.

Who are you talking about? :D.

Jaap Stam is a bit bitter, Reading had something stupid like 75% possession yesterday, I would say the majority of that was between their back four, it was ridiculous. Stam is crying because the fans were shouting "boring, boring Reading" - I'm sure his own fans took part in that. What happened with actually trying to score a goal?

He's been quoted saying: "“You can tell something about how they are as human beings to be fair" on us Leeds fans chanting 'boring boring Reading'.

:D:D:D

Birmingham sack there manager out of the blue.
Jaap Stam rattled.

Lots of things going in our favour. We've got to capitalise on this. If we don't do it this season it will be too demoralising. Even more so than last year.

Also, Shane Duffy has scored 4 goals against Blackburn this season:D

I really hope that comes back to bite Birmingham. Bizarre decision.

Amen.

From the outside looking in it seems clueless foreign investors attracted by a name (who being honest has done **** all as a manager) as opposed to a guy who on a shoe string has done a very good job.

Hope they sink like a stone DM Rowett gets another chance elsewhere.

Crazy from Birmingham. I heard that when he first joined they were on a strict £5k per week max budget per player and had virtually no funds for transfer fees. What he's delivered with that side is so impressive. Morons.

Off up to Leeds on Saturday. Bit frustrated really - I've missed the last two games, which we've won, but not missed the prior 10 which was an awful run of form. Now the thought of travelling up to an in-form Leeds isn't exactly appealing. And I don't particularly like Elland Road either ;) Honestly, I'm only really going as it gets me out of baby-sitting for the whole day!

I don't mind Rowett, not that it counts for much. I thought he was doing a fairly good job stabilising the club; playing some decent football, and would finish (despite being inconsistent) comfortably mid table.

Will be fascinating to see how this pans out, if Zola does poorly the owners will rightly get criticism from the fans (and press, and English football fans in general).

I hope Brighton stuff Birmingham.
Absolute disgrace.

The only reason Zola will do any good is if he's given massive money, he's never shown any stock about him Manager wise.

Rubbish journey up. Crying babies, train cancelled and taken out of service at Doncaster. Thought we played ok for 70 minutes, Leeds snuffed out and offered nothing. 89th minute winner with their only shot on target... oh well. At least I made my train after two taxi drivers cancelled on picking me up from the ground.

Or FFP catches up with you ;) What was it, £25m loss last year? **** or bust for BHA over the next 18 months!

We've spent too long worrying about that.

anyway, most of the losses are in playing staff, so if we don't get promoted, there is no way Dunk, Knockaert and Stephens stay for a start, which is pretty much 2 years worth of FFP written of right there.

It is days like today that make me believe we just might do it this year.

If you get promoted then it will have been a prudent risk. If not then it can be quite dodgy relying on player sales - those mentioned could cover this season's losses but probably wouldn't cover last season's as well. But as you said, you look on fine form and I'd expect you and Newcastle to go up with ease. ****ers ;)

Looking at other results, Sheffield Wednesday don't half score some late goals and pull out some results don't they!
Most of the favourites seemed to win today. Was gutted when Reading scored late too. I've been quite impressed with Preston recently as well.

We really needed that won after all other top teams winning today. I was so pleased to see Solly March have an impact too. I thought he was excellent when he came on. You wouldn't think he had barely played an hour in just over a year. Hopefully he bounces straight back from his broken leg. He could make a lot of difference to this team.
