the only reason it went up to £70 (that's right, UP) was limited supply. So i think yeah, it's going to be around £75.
I got my Mystique as soon as OCUK first started selling them i.e. the original price was £70, so no idea why you're emphasizing UP (that's right, no idea why you're emphasizing UP)

but didnt they go to about 50 or so squiddies after the offer for £35 had finished? then as stock got quite rare, the price went back up to roughly the original selling price??

If the price drops belows £60, i might actually get one.
Im slowly swaying towards getting one. :)

I know it's really tempting. I NEED a new sound card but I really can't spend the cash on it...

I'm just going to wait and see. :)

I think i can live without EAXHD to be honest.
I was DLing the new Audigy drivers the other day, went to install them, they wouldnt install. Then i realised i'd been using my onboard for the last 3 months & that my Audigys in a box next to me. :p
So it doesnt look like im missing EAXHD that much. :p

My only concern is my Medusa headphones. They're connected via 3 phonos to my onboard sound. Then it passes another 3 phonos to my amp.
I get the impression that with the HDA that i can connect to the amp with just a optical cable?. But i dont want to have to flick between the two outputs each time i want to flick between my headphones & my speakers.

Also price will not be changing we can not break the MSRP or they will not support me again.
A shame but understandable. I would have liked one of these but £90 is probably better spent on my next graphics upgrade. My Audigy 2 ZS should hold out though :p.

I'll have to wait and see how much Birthday Money comes in ;)
Again I wasn't expecting £90 but then if I can get £20 for my X Mystique then thats £70 and all is right with the world again ;)

So who exactly should look into upgrading their OPAMPS? Obviously it is anyone who regularly uses the analog outputs of the X-Mystiqe and X-Plosion series of cards. For those enthusiasts who only use the digital outputs, upgrading the OPAMPS would be a pointless endeavor. I for one appreciate clean analog outputs, so this was a good upgrade for me.

Darn. I wanted to do this but it doesn't look like theres any point.

yes that's right. they were put on offer virtually at launch. then the offer ended and they went up in price...£55...£70. Sneder, dont try and be funny:rolleyes:
Well, my receipt from March last year says different.
I don't need your permission for when to be funny, same as you don't need mine for when you can be patronising <no emoticon supplied>

ok well here's an idea. stay out of my thread. thank you. I'm not disputing how much you payed for your card or when you bought it, i am saying that i bought mine for ~£35 very soon after launch and after that, the price went up and up until none could be sourced. That's what happens when supplies dry up, isn't it?

back on topic.
