Solar panel production figures

A poor end to april with just 4.9kwhs produced. We finish april short of target by 28kwhs, so about 1kwh per day.

but on the plus side, we have exported 221kwhs and only imported 78kwhs……so a negative balance for the month.

Fingers crossed for a better may and a long lengthy summer

another nice one today. Not quite as good as yesterday but no complaints from me.

23.3 generated
14 exported

final score for April

generated 501.100kWh
exported 305.000kWh

efficiency 3.275kWh/kW

imported from grid 135kw/h

The months score is in.
Today a nice 18.7kWh cements the first 500+ month at 505.6kWh :)
Which smashed forecast for the month which was 429!
In fact beat Mays forecast and almost got to Junes which is 526!

Had hopes of a new record today going by BBC weather which had sun all day. Well maybe, but not for me. Only brief glimpses later on.

I'm not getting this new fangled export stuff, but 500 was getting closer to my months usage. I will get a few quid from export hopefully but that will be it.

My stats are a little weird this month as I lost the inverter data for a bit on 04/04.

But my best guess with extrapolation is:

615 kWh usage
486 kWh generation
153 kWh export

This month I had a lot of one-off usage activity, so I think in May I will get a lot more export, and a lower usage figure, combined with (hopefully) an even higher generation figure.

April generation has been significantly better than March, which was appalling!

Just managed to breach 700kwh this month, which is pretty good given it was a pretty variable month!

Joined flux on the 12th, but even so managed to end the month at £21.48 in credit on the electrical usage… despite not quite being completely self sufficient (house consumption was 740.7kwh) thanks to the export asymmetry on flux as almost all grid purchasing was done at the night rate.

Pretty cool to have got all my driving, including two long trips, included for free!

My aim/goal is to try and export about as much as I import, doing so pretty much keeps you at free.

Priority going to exporting as much as I can at peak rates as the value is higher. Use daytime generation for other stuff like washing machine.

For the day 40.85 kWh generated, 32 exported with 5.3 kWh at peak, weather forecast was for sun all day, but afternoon was quite cloudy. 25 generated prior to 1pm, 15.85 afterwards.

For the month as reported by the VRM, but there seems to be 130 kWh unaccounted for. Possibly what's consumed on the DC side, I don't think that's taken in to account in the consumption figures.

  • Generated: 966 kWh
  • Exported: 650 kWh
  • Imported: 335 kWh
  • Consumption: 521 kWh

Wasn't far off that 1000 kWh, average of 32.2 per day.

Very close to a break even day on gas and electric import Vs Solar export

orange = electric import
Blue = Gas import
Green = Solar export

half hour recored readings from the smart meters and exported to the octo aid app for ipad…..

Also tells me that we are £12.60 in credit for electric import Vs export. Cant wait to switch to the gas tracker tariff before next winter.

What size system is this? I've generated 672 in April on my 6.9kW system.

April Figures (4.8kW System):

Generated: 530kWh (17.7kWh/day)
Exported: 218kWh (7.3kWh/day)

Total Consumption: 303kWh (10.1kWh/day)
Grid Use: 29kWh (1.0kWh/day)

We managed to get the battery (12.25kWh) to 100% on 27/30 days and it only ran out on the 1st and 2nd. Our total electric bill was £14.01 but we're still stuck on EDFs SEG for now. If we were on Octopus' fixed export it would have been -£6.55.
