I like the circular stand, it uses less space than an entire rectangular base. And it "fades" away from afar.

Guys, im thinking of this monitor at the end of Feb, but i play a lot of CSS and similar games, will this monitor be ok?

It looks great and i really want a widescreen because of the extra desktop room for editing photographs, but will it work in that aspect ratio in games?

It's quite a nice screen and I love mine which I use with the 360 exclusively. Not tried the speakers as they're bound to be crap like most. The usb ports aren't in the best place but they're functional and the tft has vga & dvi-d which you is switchable via the iffy OSD.

What are the best contrast/brightness settings for the best colour reproduction? I would sure love to have the ICC profile from BeHardware where they calibrated the monitor.

I dunno, I just hit the Auto button and dropped the sharpness down

Worked a treat for the visuals on my 360 lol.

Pretty much any game made within the last 2 years either has native support or can be altered by registry hack or .ini file mod to work. Some games will stretch but many will support a wider pov. Even EQ1 works in widescreen. If you want to run games with good eye candy at 1680x1050 ** gonna need a beefy system. However u can run at lower widescreen resolutions like 1440x900 which may help with frame rates.

Gaming in widescreen rocks - you're never want to go back to a standard monitor again

To people that own this monitor, does the 360 fill the entire screen when displayed? I mean without any borders or anything?

Yup, no borders at all, just full screen visuals. PGR3, Kameo, Condemned are all like this so far. I'd be gutted to see borders tbh.

The viewsonic uses a TN panel, so technically the Belinea has a newer and in most aspect better panel, plus it is cheaper. Overall the Belinea is better value for money
