Heres an over exadurated image of my monitor in darkness it is most definatly not this bright in use, but it does show where the brightest parts are in the corners.
Mine is warm but it is not hot so I don't see it as a problem - especially as the power supply is in the monitor. My previous TFT, though cooler, had a separate power brick and my old CRT ran a lot hotter on top!Does anyone feel that the top part of the screen feels warm after prolonged use? I keep mine on 10+ hours a day.

Nice monitor, I had a 17" viewsonic vp171b before and the panel is as good imho. The viewsonic had a few more tricks like a far better stand etc, but all in all im impressed.
