Ooh, what a nice screen, I'm tempted. I'd love to see some pc games in action if anyone wants to show off :) (EDIT : Ah s'okay, found a massive thread on this screen with some pics)

Can anyone compare this to the 'Viewsonic VA2012W' at all ? As it's on special offer this week.

link? please

Go to www.overclockers.co.uk , click 'This Week Only' , and scroll down a bit :)

The thing I wonder about this screen is whether, when gaming, my graphics card can cope with a resolution anywhere near what it's capable of. I guess it depends on what game and what settings.

My system is P4 3.2Ghz (Northwood), 6800GT, 2GB (nice)RAM.

I really think that your graphics card will be fine to a certain level, obviously not full on maximum but it'll deal well imo.

I have a p4 2.8ghz (northy), 9800pro and 1gb (value)ram, and I am deeply contemplating getting this monitor but if gamings desperate to you then maybe you'll see the difference.

Doppleganaer, would an A64 3200, 1GB ram and an ATI X800XL doo the job for games in 1680x1050 with some eye candy?

Well IMO your video card would struggle at a good level of eye candy at 1680x1050. You're looking at very roughly the same frame rates that you'd get at 1600x1200, perhaps a bit less. 1440x900 would be easier on your card. Also, is your cpu overclocked at all? Overclocked to a decent degree would help with frames rates also.

Yeah I think it'd cope okay. The good thing about screens is that they can last for years, so it kinda justifies buying beyond what your current system could cope with (with a few caviats :p ) .

hmm, been looking at this for a while

can anyone tell me - does it have a VESA 80/100mm mount? i have a heavy duty monitor swingarm and would want to mount a widescreen TFT to replace my old 181T, but from those pictures i don't see any mount points

Same screen and speakers as me! Running mine with a 7800gtx on a amd 64 4000, 1 gig ram. Used it to play fear on v high specs an it looks awesome, played cod2 on full specs and it just looked amazing! Gonna be using the usb ports to power my lights for the monitor (blue leds under an around the screen) when i finally get round to buying them

You have the creative t6060 speakers? What equaliser settings sound best to you? Have you got an x-fi card too?

The Video with the belinea and a crt next to each other playing doom III is really good in this review.

Yeh - I cant see any ghosting what so ever, and the image is so much more vibrant on the LCD, the CRT looks so dull.

right just picked mine up 50 mile round trip to ciy link depot.

I have back bleeding in each corner size of a fist, is this acceptable?

I don't have back bleeding really, only a little at the top left, but you only notice it when the screen is black, and it's not that noticeable really. If it really annoys you, RMA it.

Im afraid so. If you read all the threads on this forums about this monitor, you can see 90% of people have the problem in all 4 corners.

Its a nice screen for a cheap price - if you want no bleeding at all, you have to pay for the Eizo 21" LCD. Over double the price of these though :o
