SOME RYZEN 7 1700 OVERCLOCKING!

When all the ladies have finished dancing around their handbags, perhaps we can proceed with some decent knowledge transfer?

YOU DIDN'T RUN PRIME FOR 3 WEEKS, DIDN'T HAPPEN!

What's deemed to be the best board (other than a Bughair VI) for OCing the 1700?

Haha :D - It seems a bit unclear which board is the best, there is some fantastic results coming from B350 boards aswell as more expensive ones. Maybe give it a few weeks.

For 4Ghz I need 1.4v which I dont feel is worth a 0.1v jump to gain 100Mhz each core. I settled for 3.9Ghz @ 1.312v for gaming, temps in the low 50c for gaming on air, RAM speed at 2400Mhz CL16. I have screenshot of results back in the other thread, I will try and find them.

Thanks for the quick reply, that is exactly what I was after, I am keen to keep voltage as low as possible and also don't see the point of increasing voltage for little gain.

I wanted to use air cooling if possible and that is very useful. I was hoping to use at least 3000Mhz memory so will wait for further BIOS updates to see if that is possible and on which motherboards.

Please can you test small FFT in prime and see what results you get? :)

Nice chip you got there, 4Ghz @1.373v. I'm going to try knocking my voltage down a little too. :)

What cooler are you using?

I am using the Next Kraken x62, Also I have switched to offset mode for setting my CPU core voltage and SOC voltage..... And I have set LLC to level 3 for both. Core Voltage is now stable and no longer bouncing all over the place.....

My Prime test at 3.2GHZ had the wrong temperature due to a bios setting, it should've been 15c+ higher than it was. So maybe disregard that one.

4Ghz, 3200MHZ CL14 10 minutes Small FFT.

Thanks...This more like what I was after...So I appreciate it...I really do...

That cooler of yours is taking a pounding....You confident letting it run any longer?
