I've had a couple of complaints about the exhaust noise from one of the motorcyclists, I think it's doran1801 on your team. Could you have a word with him and find out if he's going to get it fixed? When its parked round by the bike shed I can hear it at my desk so it must be pretty loud on the ground floor! Apologies if I've got the wrong person.

Is the exhaust legal? I'm not that familiar with bike regs etc, but with a car if it's legal there's not much they can do I don't think.

I wouldn't have posted her name on the net. Bit unfair, she's only doing her job.
Simply get your manager to respond to the mail saying 'the bike is set up as the owner wants it and it is legal, having passed it's compulsory roadworthiness test recently, which includes an excess noise test.

Imagine being woken up every morning at 7:30 by your neighbour who puts on their helmet, starts his motorcross bike, starts an arguement with his wife, whilst in helmet and revving the bike, then driving off after 20mins of the above.
Didn't complain about that but jesus was it annoying and very tempting to complain but 1minute in the morning would not have bothered me personally let alone if it was at work :/

Tell her if she's got a complaint she should approach you directly rather than being a wuss.

If its genuinly disturbing people or people are are claiming it is and down tools (or pens or keyboards) because of it then I can see why management level would want to tackle the situation. As for the email itself its in the right sort of tone as a first port of call.
If it were me in this situation I'd look at if there was something simple I could do to help the situation. i.e. if you tend to start it up in a noise trap (between two buildings for example) then maybe wheel it out abit then fire it up, or if there is a side of the building with no windows that would only take a minute to wheel the bike round then thats not too much of a hassle is it? If there genuinely is nothing that can help then you are going to have to speak to those that complained.
There is someone near by that fires up his performance bike at 7 am and leaves it running (I say run, it sounds like a misfiring POS to me)for a few minutes which tends to get on my man boobs if I've got the bedroom window open.

As she's the office co-ordinator I imagine someone has taken the complaint to her and she is approaching the probable owner's manager, which is exactly what should be done.

Where I work, most people are really well paid, and seem to be either proper bikers or going through a mid life crisis. As a result, there are about 40 really nice bikes pulling up every morning, which sounds sweet and people often watch them as they go out on a lunch time ride (motorbike club)
I think the office co-ordinator is just doing her job, although the e-mail is written like she is lying and she has a bee in her bonnet about it.
A suitable reply would be to point out that it is legal and if its a problem you will find somewhere else to park it. Could she also furnish you with the names of the people who complained so that you may go and personally appologise.

If its legal then they've not a lot they can do.
If they're so dumb as to think its broke, just explain that being the sports bike it is .. it is very loud and point out its sporting credentials that the Aprillia RSV millie competes at the world superbikes championship

Just point out its supposed to be like that, its a powerfull superbike used in the world superbike championship and theres nothing you can do about it

Lol never read so much crap . I run a Tuono 1000 (same a s a rsv just naked) with akros with no baffles and never had any issues . Or with my Gixer 1000 with yoshi and no baffles... I do carry the baffles with me just incase but never had a problem ..
I dont use the bike for commuting so dont start it early in the morning but i do sometimes come home late so just snick it into neutral when comming to the house then kill it when there ...
Whats more annoying is the scooters with aftermarket cans ...we stayed in a town centre for 6 months where all the neds hung out at the kebab shop...sometimes 8-10 at a time ...all with cans on there 49cc hair dryers...and for 2-3 hours at a time would drag up and down past our flat....now thats a nusicance ...
Tbh if u have the baffles in, the cans are legal so show em the mot and tell em to take a hike ...Your not trying to make noise and hardly sitting there revving it before u leave so dont worry about it
