Something you dont see every day (pics)

So your point would be ?

So putting 17 inch wheels , different front bumper , front skirt, rear bumper , side skirts and a large spoiler makes the car look the same as one with out

Of course it looks like an accord , because thats what the badge says on the back , But to say its far , far to simialr is stupid.
A standard accord is bland but only compaired to other spec accords . Its all down to your own eyes and i personally cant see how people can call it bland . Call it not your cup of tea by all means but no one has said why its bland with a good reason.

I didn't say it was bland, I said it looked far too similar to the regular Accord. There is nothing to obviously set it apart other than the ridiculous rear wing.

It needs bigger skirts, a more pronounced sport bumper, etc and it'd look better.

Not necessarily a bad thing though is it? I'm quite keen on stealth cars personaly, you have all the performance without attracting as much attention from scrotes.

I'd have to agree with [TW]Fox, well partly anyway. They do look very similar to the standard accords, especially from the front, well any angle where you can't see the spoiler really!
But the spoiler is great! :D But I have one so maybe I would say that? Without the spoiler the ATR looks a bit wrong IMO.

Well no, but the problem with the Accord is it's a bad stealth car becuase it has an enormous, oversized wing on the back.

Your Civic, for example. You will not mind me saying it looks bland and boring - people probably don't give it a second glance. But it absolutely flies, and nobody expects it to. It must be absolutely great fun wasting people in hot hatches when they just wouldn't have expected it :D

But the Accord Type R? You sit there, looking like a regular Accord, no overly sporting differences to set it apart... except the enormous great wing on the back giving the game away.

It's a mess - not sporty enough in places, too sporty for be a Q ship in others. It either needed a proper bodykit, or it needed no huge wing.

All IMHO of course :)

My civic did wipe the smiles off all the barry-boys :D

People dont think the accord does 0-60 in 6.1 so its still stealthy in your mind then ?

Now your just being stupid calling it a mess . IMHO of course

I'd be interested to know what other people drive considering some of these comments you must all be in Maranello's ;), the Accord Type R is a class leading car, its very stealth as most people don't really know what they are capable of.

Which class was the 98-02 Honda Accord top of?

In its price range of sports saloons it came top, you just need to read a few back issues, blew the ST out of the water.

The 50 strong convoy even picked up a police escort lol :D

50? wow, talk about coincidence...! :p

A lot of cars looked quite bland in the 90's tbh, not just the Accord.
Wost one is the Carina GTi, really nothing at all apart from the badge to tell you it isnt the standard 2 litre. :D

Are you saying the Accord type R reaches 60 in 6.1 seconds?
