You can get mk2's with teeth though. ;)

Yes but he replied to my post stating it's a MK2 with a picture of a mk1 ;) Had he posted a mk2 with teeth, it would have still been gay, but more correct ;)

Surely that would mean the teeth would suit you more then? ;)

Fancy a ban?

You wouldn't dare!

Accually i withdraw that, you have done in the past for your pics of you wearing a dress. ;)

MX5 + dress wearing.....

So what psi is the turbo running? What sort of level can you up it to?

At the moment fairly low boost, as the injectors will be running out of fuel too early if I run too much. It's around 7/8psi at the moment which at peak power 7k the fuel ratio is at about 12.4 which isn't too bad.

That turbo with uprated fueling system and new ecu which can be completely customised rather than use a piggy back device is good for in excess of 250bhp. But when you get to 250+bhp you need to change the CR and do a little bit of engine work to cope with the extra power.

I'd have loved to have bought a new ECU but it was a bit beyond my budget for the moment. When I can afford it I'll sell the piggy back and get a compatible plug in ECU - which are available for the mx5.

Thanks. :)

So what parts are there in total that you need to add a turbo to an NA car. Trying to get my head round exactly how it all goes together.

if you are going for 250bhp + then its a good choice. it seemed as thought you were mentioning 200-230bhp as top levels. :)

I have written on all the parts i knwo what they are, a few im not sure on, like whats the job for the electric thingy? What does it control?

Well one thing at a time. Happy to hear suggestions though. :) I doubt I'll do much more tweaking for a little while. I actually bought off ebay a GT25, which might be better - anyway you live and learn!

Control Thingy = ECU Piggyback

Air Filter Piper = Downpipe

Covering for turbo = Cold Air Cover for Filter

Thanks. :) So what does the ECU Piggyback do? Make sure the fueling and air is all correct?

It basically "taps" into your normal ecu adding a few extra bits of functionality/programability, like fuel/air ratio timings etc...

You should really stop posting these sites :(

Whats the import duty like from the US?

:D:D Sorry dude :p

It's not too bad in general but as ever there are ways of legitimately not getting too ripped off. There are also people who mass import the stuff so you can purchase them within the uk.
