Sony Bravia 2015 Range...

http://www.rgbdirect.co.uk/Products/Television/LED-TV/SAMSUNG/UE75JU6400

it's about 3.2 grand ! but the Sony 75'' 4k is much more...so the Sammy is deffo the best to go for

the priority is to see the 75'' sony 1080p and then decide............. BUT the trouble with a 65'' LED is that i can still get a 65'' Plasma and that'll have a better image, the LED is only really worth it at 75'' .

The 65'' Plasma is only 600 quid  and that's no money at all for such a brilliant screen image.

it's tricky, but the LED only makes sense at 75''

Just a heads up but Sony aren't expecting stock to them, of the 75inch until this week , so I'm not sure you'll find any instore yet (maybe check with the Sony Centres before you visit )

Personally 1080p on anything over about 60" it starts to look questionable (but does depend on the panel)

This is more important to me than whether OLED is superior or not , the price just doesn't make that size into consideration

Ive had a Pioneer 5090 plasma for 4 or 5 years and while its a great set, its showing its age and Im looking for a set at least 65" (anything less just doesn't seem to be much of an upgrade). OLED just doesn't enter the equation.

Sony is my first choice of 4k even if its one of last years sets which can be had for sub £3k if you look around but possibly Samsung aswell

the Panasonic has something missing too, it's a perfect image but looks dull........... the 4K image has much more colour and brightness to it....it's far more vivid with a lot more WOW factor. the Plasma looks tired out in comparison.

that is close, but i need to research this model, i think it's a brand new budget 4k, but it'll deffo be good

Sure that's just not a trick to make the 4K look more enticing, even though the colours are wildly inaccurate? The reason why TVs have a shop display mode is that a more vivid and bluer screen stands out and catches the eye more than a correctly coloured image. So most of what you see on display is incorrectly calibrated.

yea but it still looks massively impressive............the only thing that bothers me is how good does the Sony 75'' 1080p look......... because is it looks really good then this represents the best value for money.

but i'm very close to buying that Sammy 65'' 4k

Are there any threads on AV Forums for the owners of said TVs? It's just that I think you'll get a lot out of the opinions of people who have lived with the TVs in question, as that's the only way you really get to know their pros and cons.

Mal, you do realise the 7500 version you've linked to is last year's model right? All of last year's models had the designation HU, whereas this year they are JU or JS. There's a JU7000 or JU7500 from this year's range, along with the JU6400 you linked to.

yes i do, last years HU has a better image than this years budget JU6400, this years version to go for is the UE75JU7000, which has a superior image and build quality, because i've just seen both these tvs side by side.............which was a stroke of luck !

the budget tv does look quite cheap, it has a brushed aluminium effect plastic stand, it looks really Grim !!!! and the bezel/back looks really cheap too, it's image looks quite foggy at 4k compared to the 7500, which looks virtually perfect, it's 900hz to 1400hz, dont get me wrong, because the JU6400 still has a great image but looks 2nd rate compared to the 7500 beside it, it also has no 3D.

the sony 1080p is a no go, it has quite a low processing power and the guy even said that he wouldn't sell it to me....the Sony 4K is better but still not as good as the Sammy for motion, he said the processing power is critical, because that improves motion and image quality and with the Sony 4k it's a bit lower.

the Sammy 4K is perfect for motion and face detailing (on both the UE TVs), it's about the same or better than my Panny Plasma, i saw ``transformers age of extinction`` and it looked brilliant on 4k, the detailing on the huge robots is perfect !.............it blows 1080p out of the water!.....the LG 4K looked perfect too, but really expensive !!!!!!!!

that's the cheapest brand new LG 4K, this is cheap because it has no SMART features..........NONE, just as long as its Picture quality isn't Budget either then i dont mind.

LG are trying to overtake Samsung, so this should be quite high spec with good processing power, the other model i saw today looked brilliant

I am happy to wait a year or 2 before they are down to the same price at my KDL-50W829 50" 1080p with a FREE soundbar :D I am really happy with that stonking tv for the money!

getting close to that LG 65'' but it's a brand new tv so there's no reviews yet, i prefer a brand new 2015 tv to last years, in the hope that it's better....that's all

i dont think there's any difference between Sammy and LG anyway !!

LG are releasing the 65'' flat 4K OLED soon but it'll be way too expensive

a large 4k tv will never be that cheap.........not brand new anyway and i doubt you'll want a 4K tv from 2 years ago, plus in 2 years time you'll be after OLED only..........because any 4K that you buy right now is only a stop gap until the 65'' OLED is cheap enough, which will be about 3000 quid..

it'll be 6 grand for the next year and a half.

I have the cheapo(1k) UE48JU6400 and its none of the above, only the 48 though, might be different. :)

yeah I'm looking to upgrade from an old panny TH-42PZ80B, it's about 8 years old now and was only mid range at the time.

Gonna wait for some reviews on the 50w805c

I'm still rocking the PZ80, fantastic set. My in laws have a new £1500 panny lcd and whilst its nice and bright, mine has a better picture still and its 6 years old!

I'm waiting for a 50inch oled that's around 1k before i even consider upgrading.

an OLED for one grand .......dream on :D

only the top end 4k LEDs are good enough, or a really good mid range version, but i cant buy anything until i see the reviews because all the latest LEDs aren't in yet
