Sony Bravia KDL 50 W829

After the Sony BDP-S7200 disappointed me by not being able to play MKV files via DLNA in 24p, I look to my TV to hopefully test if it can.

I have the 50" W829, so using the in-built media player, any idea if there is a way to check if it is streaming MKV via DLNA in 24p, 50p or 60p?
 
This tv ( now in the front room as gave to someone ) just bugged out. It got stuck in a boot loop crashing everytime it got to the tv being in it's normal operating state.

Had to hard reset this via unplugging it, holding the power and vol - on the back of the tv whilst also plugging it back in. gave it a couple minutes and then had to re do the setup. Working fine now.

The crash was reading as " unfortunately gamepad manager has stopped working "
