*** Sony Xperia Z5 ***

Three STILL don't seem to be advertising these on their website - screw them i'm moving to either EE or 02!

How easy is it to keep my number if I swap, do I:

1 - Order my phone/contract via CPW
2 - Contact Three for my 'code'
3 - Ring EE/02 and give them my 'code' from Three
4 - Cancel contract with Three?

I'd give Three a call and order your PAC code first - mainly because with most contracts you have to give 1 month's notice (well I did and I'm with Three on their rolling monthly contract!) - that way you will have your PAC code to pass on to your new provider.

By requesting your PAC code you are effectively giving notice on your contract - however, if you don't use the code within 30 days then things will just carry on as they were!

The Z5 is on their website here but they are a bit all over the place to be honest - I spoke to Three no more than a few days ago and was told by numerous people that they weren't getting the Z5 Compact and low and behold, 2 days later it's on their website!

I am over 15 minutes now and no warning or app shutdown! so looks like its the image stabalisation.

Glad what the Chinese website was saying could be replicated by others.

I hope Sony can do something soon to remedy the situation without affecting how well the stabilisation works.

go to Three.co.uk, login to your account and click 'Thinking of Leaving us?' and click Online Chat.

Request Pac Code from operator (ignore all pleas and attempts to keep you).

Sign up to EE, wait for simcard to arrive. Activate simcard online and put your pac code in at the same time.

Wait 24-48 hours and it's all done.

I just went through this process 2 weeks ago.

I spoke to them on the phone trying to get a lower price, best they would offer me was 4gb data and ulimited voice/text for £47 a month for 2 years :(

Took the plunge and got the z5 today, and this is by no means trying to put anyone off just my first impressions, started the phone signed into the usual then was prompted to scan my thumb for the first time for it to crash, again.. and again.. and again kept having to turn the phone off.. oh dear sony

Remove the fingerprint and try again, failing that reset the phone.

worked after factory reset, though just to again clarify not trying to put people off as once it was working the finger scanning is unbelievably fast.

It can happen with a corrupted set up fingerprint scan. It is exceedingly quick once running ok.

Looks like apple have done a very very good job with their new camera.

Absolutely... can't believe Sony have not figured out mobile imaging yet. I have a Z3 and the Z5 seems to have the same horrible blown out highlights with high dynamic range lighting.
