*** Sony Xperia Z5 ***

How rubbish is that... I assumed Sony would supply one with all the phones.
It's a Network thing, a friend bought one from CPW (I think) and it had a charger in it but no head phones.

O2 do it with quite a few of their phones though as we all know Motorola don't supply a charger full stop.

I got mine from Mobiles.co.uk (so basically cpw) and it came with a charger, but no headphones. The charger is just a standard one though, iirc it's 1.5a

Yup. Can confirm that.

Will probably save a few pennies from next months pay and get those shiney digital ones and a QC2 charger or two, for home and work :D

Does anyone know of any decent cases being sold in the UK yet? I'm always partial to leather (or PU).

I got the "Bugatti SlimFit Case for Sony Xperia Z3 - Black" had the smaller one for my Nexus 5 loved it lasts years with no real wear and tear showing.

Z3 is same size so no issues there, I got mine from Amazon.

Managed to have a quick play with a Z5 in a Vodafone shop yesterday and I'm not entirely sold on the design/feel of the Z5.
I currrently have a HTC One M7 which is the same physical size as a Z5C it appears, but it wasn't the physical size that was the issue, it was the strange sharp edges when holding the phone (the edges of the glass I'd assume) and also the recessed power/wake button.
The button being recessed just felt wrong in the hand to me, made the button feel mushy when using it to go back to the home screen etc.

Other than that, the screen looked great and it's still a contender for my next phone. Want to have a hands on with a Nexus 5X too, just to see what I think of it. Maybe I've been spoilt with the HTC One's curved alu back which feels nice in the hand.

I'm loving mine. Not sure what the poster 2 up means about hitting power button to go back to home screen  Also, it doesn't feel mushy here.

Battery life is brilliant and not had any issues with the phone. I wish I could disable some more of the inbuilt apps (like Sony Account and Whats New) but I cant do that without root and I CBA rooting the phone anymore.

I've picked up the Roxfit Premium book case and a tempered glass protector for £19.50 odd in the end. Seems fairly good.

Battery life seems great on this... Was worried at start as it didnt seem to much better than my old S3 but, after a couple of charges, its working great... 2 full days and I still had circa 30% left.

Granted I aint a mega heavy user but I had to charge my S3 every night on similar usage.

This is without any of the Stamina modes on.

Just curious, you say you're not a mega heavy user, but 2 full days? Even on a light day for me, I'll still need to charge it every night. I'm still learning though, being on Apple for a while. Need to remember to close apps down so they don't run in the background draining the battery. Any tips? I've noticed being 2g or 4g pretty much makes 0 difference.

Your usage is completely different to his, and everyone else. Your area is also different, so different cell reception noise, your screen brightness is different and the apps you use will be different too. This is why battery comparisons between different users, with different apps, locations and settings is never a good comparison to make.

All of these come together to give the overall battery life.

As an example, I need to charge my phone daily, sometimes need a top up by the afternoon on a weekday, purely because of the brightness and noisier 4G reception where I work.

But back at home on a weekend and a single charge will last the whole weekend.
