South Korea Jeju air plane crash

No, you looked on google maps and made a vague comparison because you saw a structure of some sort.

In reality, they're rather different and you're completely reaching here - you seem to have been instantly dismissive of this concrete wall issue and now you're just throwing in silliness about how the runway could be made 10x longer too as if that's comparable to applying some common sense re: being mindful of what structures are built where planes may overshoot runways!

It's not bizarre, if they'd had a collapsable structure there or some other design then a bunch of people might have been alive still - as pointed out the aviation expert quoted called it criminal... you're just in denial tbh..
You made the comparison to a flight that made little resemblance. It veered off the side.

How far do you take the no objects at the end of run off? What about fences? Roads? Other infra? The runway you suggested as being comparable looks equally unsurvivable.

I was pointing out differences - two recent incidents of coming off a runway, not having hard concrete obstacles in the way is useful as planes do come off runways!

See the post further up the page, again you're making a silly comparison, the structures aren't necessarily compatible!

Lol right, you just didn't realise the other plane came off to the side.

How long is this runway? How far down it did the plane first touch down?

It's a series of unfortunate events and you're blaming the concrete block at the very end, ignoring anything else.

None of that is relevant to the point being made.

Not ignoring everything else though - the bird strike was unfortunate too, maybe the pilots could have done other things etc.. none of that is relevant to the point being made though which should be easily understood by anyone applying a little bit of common sense - that concert wall was an issue and shouldn't have been there!

Again it's not just me saying that, see the aviation experts mentioning it too.

Damn this concert must be horrific! Justin Bieber or something…

As we verge into another dogpile because someone hasn't joined the group think, here is a measurement of the wall vs. the runway.

The road is 45m from the wall.

Everyone: They all died when the plane hit the wall.
dlockers: The wall had nothing to do with it.
Totally correct if we ignore the fact the plane landed without landing gear, no reverse thrusters, half way down the runway, using the opposite direction of the runway for landing. Yes it was the wall at fault here

I never ran over the children it was my car

All things which are survivable in a modern aircraft with enough flatish ground. A solid concrete wall is not.
