South Park

Not enjoying this series. As its following a theme I can't imagine I'll enjoy the rest of it either, at least in previous series a bad episode is followed by a completely different one you might like.

Shame as I thought last series had some of the best episodes in the show's history.

Have to agree, the episodes so far have been really dull and aimed solely at the yanks. Also principal PC and the whole foods stuff is rubbish, the only time i've laughed is with Randy in whole foods and the charitable donation - but that's the kind of scene south park is famous for, not running themes throughout a series like in your face instead of occasional subtle references
 
Well, I at least laughed a couple times this episode.

But I went in already knowing what yaoi is (just turns out I was pronouncing it wrong :p).

I really don't think there was a message in this one, folks. Think it was just SP ripping on Japanese schoolgirl fetishes.
 
I thought it was about the irony of modern society claiming to tell us that we have free choice whilst simultaneously telling us exactly how we should act and forcing us to conform to that expectation.
 
What the hell's happened to South Park!?

It's like they've got bored of the usual direction and decided to do something different. That's fine and all but its just not funny anymore. Many of the classic characters are completely missing and the humour just lacks the SP charm :(
 
I love how they make fun of things like political correctness and don't hold back.

2015 is the year where absolutely anything and everything seems to offend someone and it's bloody annoying. Everyone is too scared to say what they're thinking these days for fear of offending, so it's nice to see a show having the balls to take the ****.
 
Yup - South Park is the show that just keeps on giving. The last episode was pretty weak compared to the rest of the episodes - there's normally a couple of duds a season.
 
Latest episode wasn't as bad as the last one, it actually made me laugh when they went back to the police for help. However how the episode ended has me now thinking that there's a reason for them going in this terrible direction... well, I'm hoping at least.
