Given the nature of the crime, previous terror attacks in the UK and across Europe, literally tens of thousands of unidentified men swarming the country, plus the police being vague, the assumptions weren't exactly implausible.And if they do that then the moment the police are slow to respond to the "it's Mr Blobby" claims then the mob will go with "see it's Mr Blobby"
Or it turns out that it was a "Mr Blobby" but there are a dozen "Mr Blobby's" in the area and the claim will be the police were lying.
