I think this is the first season if we'll see if Guardiola is any good. The thing that has got Fergie through many seasons is adapting, changing formations, getting rid of good players and bringing in new players, and changing play/having a different plan against certain teams.
Guardiola came in and had an established team, formation, type of play, but pretty much any team doing the same thing every single season gets a bit stale.
Barca have been through their playmakers while at the top, Ronaldinho, then bump him and bring in someone else, etc, etc. Barca are playing now, and had a decent spell was it not long after xmas last season, where they just looked out of idea's, like these guys almost played together in the same way too much, got too used to one real attacking move and aren't used to changing it around.
Will Barca continue to seem lacklustre this season or can Guardiola change them about a bit.
I think thats one of the reasons they looked so effortless and fresh with Fabregas playing, they gave him a fairly free role, gets everywhere and players are adapting to the way he plays, and doing so well.
While the Sevilla keeper was excellent and made no mistakes, very few of those shots were actually insanely hard to save. Most of them were fairly close and the penalty and a few others that "good" height for a keeper to dive and get to fairly comftably. Had half of those shots been in the corner, they'd have thrashed them.
